Is there a current hiring freeze?
My sources in AWM tell me there is a major lay-off coming in the next few weeks. Why can’t we be like other banks and not lay-off until the pandemic is over?

I was RIFFED this morning, last day is August 29. 22 1/2 years, get 1 year pay. Cannot look internally because of hiring freeze through year end. Why would they do this during a Global Pandemic. Best part, 2 of 3 from my team let go, now they have no backup and the person they kept has the least experience, will never be able to support everything. That's Chase!
Yes, I have been told this week that Layoffs will occur, with July announcement and last day in August. Announcements need to happen this week to have August last day. Just shows JPMC has no heart during a Global Pandemic.
$70,000 ! Yikes! Where do I apply and what are the job titles?
So far, I haven't heard any layoff due to COVID in AWM or other LOB. I may be wrong. If others know please share it.

seen it sooo many times, if you don't s— it to the boss you are gone, e.g.. my VP did not know sh–, but he was the director lover boy... very sweet boy... in 8 months time. he got his job?
I am sure no one 8n JPMC wanted to apply for his job? SMH
I have a coworker got laid off back in March. She is the work more, talk less that type of person but still got let go. I guess if you are good with your mouth and be social with your team and especially your manager, hardworking is not what you need to keep your job.
August will be month for AWM layoffs my source is saying with list of employees already completed
Dimon is sharpening the ax.
I’m saying there are people doing easy office jobs for $70,000.00 a year and people in India doing the same job for 1/7 the of the pay. People need to be realistic about how that ends. JPMORGAN wants to move every administrative job to a low cost center that it can.
Why would you say people in backoffice way over paid? It's standard of living and all the parts work together to keep the engine running!!! Just look at how we mobilized, used our own internet, equipment for seamless transition to home based during this pandemic.
Hiring freeze and lay-off coexist. If one is happening, you know what to expect.....
Yes, there's been a hiring freeze in place since mid March due to Covid. There may be some small exceptions, but it's basically company-wide.
People in the back office are way over paid for their skill set, so these jobs moving overseas was only a matter of time.
AWM is a bad place to be a at JPMC. Do not recommend. that bad!
Yes, I heard the same. Major layoff in July for AWM.
