Why are there 200+ open positions in midst of active layoffs? How about levering internal talent for these opportunities? Aren't we encouraged to learn new skills? Be agile. Well ALL, be transparent...and not by just saying the word over and over.

Allstate is in the process of buying National General. Non standard 1st qtr 2021.....I am not enjoying reading about layoffs.

@por+15PBKJdF Hey HR id–t how bout you act as support for employees instead of looking for ways to cut our compensation whenever possible. You handled the payroll shift terrible and you are doing same with this reduction. Allstate Human Resources is a joke.
Litigation Services is extremely busy. We had a hiring freeze since late last year so we have been very busy, even during Covid. With the closing/slowdown of courts and legal process across the country over the past few months, we expect to see a tremendous volume of backlog cases coming to the dockets once all reopens. Definitely need the staff for that. Keeping fingers crossed.
Staff legal is still hiring attorneys. There was a process review in the fall of last year to identify areas that were understaffed for the litigation volume.
What we see is internal jobs and most of those roles posted are tech roles, Allstate has a big push to hire more tech people.
Allstate is giving priority to internal applications. Those are not posted to the public. How you you go and apply and stop complaining?
I think they are only available to internal employees. Check and see?
Sometimes companies do that for marketing reasons to make others think they are expanding. They may or may not fill some of the positions. For companies that seriously hire, they would put out a bunch of similar positions but with intention to fill only one. Large companies are notorious for doing that.
More globalism unfortunately. The rich get richer. The world’s poor get a little less poor and Western civilization gets a giant stake driven through its heart.
New workers cost less and will have less benefits and vacation.
