Everyone else is doing it, but they are so afraid of losing customers. I say they don't. Any thoughts?

Our chillers are running. Can't work in that building without air conditioning.
The coronavirus is airborne. That's why Macy's should required customers to wear masks. 😷
They are not running the AC because of the dangers involved with COVID being spread throughout the store via the ventilation systems. This would be less of an issue if they required customers to also wear MASKS!!! They know fully well and most likely instructed facilities not to run on maximum or at all.
Macys won’t even let us take extra pro caution like wearing a face shields because it’s "against policy" I’m like your really gonna risk mines and my families lives further because face shields don’t match y’all esthetic. Macy’s is beyond garbage. I hope the company goes out of business. They really don’t care about it’s employees lives. It’s all about money to them. And same here with the AC it’s suffocating and here. We called the depart of health and nothing was done.
Looks like the ones wearing masks just robbed Macys of $9M! Nobody else needs one-nothing left except some Backstage or Private Label garbage!
To the poster that says calm down. Read the fine print of the Macys news release. It very clearly says we cant refuse service to anyone without a face mask. So its still the same old thing take anyones money even if it puts you in danager. The glass offices in new york will stay upstairs far away from the public and employees
Macy's said last time masks were required then said we couldn't ask the customers to leave if they refused. So it will be the usual talking out of both sides of the Macy's mouth next week. (EYE ROLL)
Masks not required. No customers, no infection.
Calm down....masks will be required by all customers in all Macy's stores nationwide beginning next week.
That's why I call the local city health department and local officals about our store 703 letting customers shop without masks. Customers will come to our store entrance with there masks on but once inside the store customers will take there masks off because it is so hot inside the store. Colleagues and customers always
complaint about the A/C. My store is in Texas so the state has required masks. LP and management won't do anything, customers are still shopping without there masks. Shopping at a hot building is uncomfortable, especially in Laredo, Texas the weather gets to 107° degree.
DO SOMETHING! Stand up for yourselves. Demand masks for your safety. Stand together, get on social media, and make it public. No one should have to choose employment over their personal health and safety. Check www.osha.gov, make sure all covid procedures are being followed and enforced. Don't let management slack, keep them on their toes.
Our store said "recommended" not "required" which is why I chose not to return to my job out of fear for my life.
My store is in Pennsylvania so the state has required masks but in states that don’t Macy’s should. They seem to be one of the only large retailers that hasn’t . Typical for them to opt out but very sad for employees and other customers. They are so desperate I guess they don’t want to take a stand.
