Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

And just like that, the Chevron Hunger Games have commenced

All jobs are open and fair game. I wonder if Chevron’s worried about taking a hit to the company culture. One Team?

@yhh - right there with you, especially now that I know my years of service are only worth 1.6x / year. Anything after 18 years isn’t worth a thing, so will just hold out as long as possible.

Yep, the Hunger Games is right. Make sure that your knife is sharp, and your quiver is full of arrows.
I've been though numerous Rightsizing and ROMs already. At my ripe old age I kinda doubt that I'll survive this one.

I plan to stick around as long as possible, and make the b–tards / b–ches do the work to lay me off. Why make their life easy by taking the EOI.

Good luck !

In many ways, the culture has never recovered from the 2015-2015 layoffs & reorgs. A real challenge for Chevron.

No list if you are involved in the selection process. Just apply for whatever jobs strike your fancy and if you get one, you are good. Your chances wont be clear until the number who AOI are determined. If your job performance is less than stellar and you don’t have someone in the room fighting for you or protected status, it will be tough but 90% will make it.

For a silver lining, let's hope managers use this opportunity to get rid of those who just consume oxygen and don't add any value to CVX.

Thumbs up to last poster. You are in for a fight if you haven’t had the do you like your job conversation with people who will be making decisions. They have had their list of people to get rid of for years.

The decision as to who will become unemployed has already been made.

There won’t be a got to the culture. Some will sigh relief on announcement day and others will walk. The people who sigh relief will soon forget the ones who walk. History tells us this.
