Yet! No one got laid off yet! Oh it’s coming! The moves the last three years have all been about a transition to warehouse, just about when! And it’s getting close!

Don’t have to convince me! I know it’s coming, and has been for the last three years as they have been transitioning.
The “new dsd” is embarrassing that people actually believed that! They have no idea the level of people that they are dealing with! They will soon! Can’t say they haven’t been forewarned!

Makes perfect sense from what I see! FT merchandisers hours have been cut to 32, all the while they are still hiring PT merchandisers for the same areas! Very telling! Cost cutting, and why? They have cleaned up during the pandemic! Also, out OOS rate is at an all time high, with no grams coming except for WM. Maybe things are moving to retailers warehouses? 🧐

Every company will do things a little different! One big difference is Mondelez doesn’t care about it’s employees!

reps will get laid off first merchandisers are in the best positions once a store goes whouse it will be the stores job or mondalez will help for a few months on bigger stores. nestle did this and was 4 phases stores picked which stages to exit dsd wal mart was one of the first to go. started ordering certain line of products in their warehouse little by little. till finally you were only delivering about 5 skus and you are not to big . take it from a ex nestle rep stores will be offered monies to go warehouse and lots of it. mondelez will take a hit at first but will trim the line of products and decrease costs and have more equity to promote. plus this virus only cemented a companies view on dsd without dsd no employees in stores to worry about getting sick extra pay, etc. or a sick employee going into a store cause they need a paycheck.

“Nothing on this site has ever been right”? Really? That may be the funniest and most far fetched statement I’ve ever heard!
How about the ONLY thing that has been wrong so far is the timeline! Hat makes sense! Only top senior management knows the exact timeline, but if you don’t see things unraveling, lord help ya!
Reps only allowed in Kroger stores once a week? Target generating their own orders beginning next week...wow! So obvious!
And no, we are not too big! Far from it! Ever been in a fulfillment center? Maybe like Kroger or WalMart? Plenty of room! They can expand if needed, with the slotting fees it pays for itself and then just pure profit from that point on! Why would they reduce skus? Maybe to reduce the overhead in warehouse.
Trust me, I’ve been around this a long time, and time is coming to an end! And tells way it looks, Mondelez will eliminate in waves, which means no warning needed, and more importantly, no severance is mandated!
Good luck!

Just remember, the guesses for the end date have been wrong. But just about everything else has been right. From outsourcing of warehouses to WM going CAO to Kroger following ect. But your right. We're the only corporation in the U.S. who shuns technology and refuses to move into the 21 century.

The only advantage to DSD WAS for Mondelez! That is no longer the case! Retailers are taking back control! They make more money on their own private labels, make more money eliminating DSD! DSD is ending, and has been! Yep,
Been saying this for years, probably like 5 at least!! Stand by that as well! The elimination of DSD is not just Mondelez, it’s the end of DSD! Only direct delivery will be highly perishable goods or alcohol!
Not a chance we are too big! As Dirk stated, we are eliminating SKU’s. How hard will it be then? Less overhead when we pay slotting fees and Mondelez will stick to the core, reason why they have gone to family size on core items!
Don’t be afraid! Be aware and proactive!

What is this new DSD you keep mentioning. Does that mean we will all be outsourced soon? And we have significantly reduced sku's "uncle dirks words not mine". So a transition to warehouse wouldn't be too difficult. Are we getting rid of all those over paid union drivers who are always late? Tell us.
