The layoffs today affected some people in the UK as well as some Partner Managers in Central and Eastern Europe. Clearly, something is amiss at this company when the management can do little more than simply to lay off employees. Does anyone have information on severance packages?

To give everyone an update, from someone who is currently still working at the company. They are hiring back a lot of sales position to get ready for IPO later this year. Sales for the whole 2020 has been flat but last quarter was bad, however with enough layoff, the cash burn rate has been crushed. If there was not lay off last year, for sure the company would had ran out of cash which mean they had to either borrow or get another financing round. Now they say no new money injection need to happen before IPO-ing. In this capitalist society, it doesn't really matter how much of scumbag the C-suites are ( and they definitely are ), as long as money are to be made then I guess everything is A-Okay ;)
Seems over 1.4k people have been let go from automation anywhere worldwide, and still going - reading for IPO or acquisition?

Management did a great CYA job. Why would you go ask the CCO , SVP and underperforming VPs who on the team should be let go?
The guys who knew Microsoft was kicked out. The team that knew industries was booted out. The replacements; we have the Disney production of the Tom and Jerry show in BD.

APAC is next, full of mo–nic leaders who live in an old school world where stuffing more sales people into the model is seen as a good answer, despite awful sales figures to date and a broken partner model. The entire cxo level needs to be thrown out and replaced with true leaders, you only need to watch videos of the CHRO to realise she is stoned every day!
In the first U.S. RIF, we got a generic email from HR at 6am PT/9am ET letting us know it was our last day of employment. BUT some people got an unexpected heads up because over the weekend they received their Severance pay direct deposited into their bank accounts early and some people woke up early Monday morning to their Severance deposits. NOT a great way to find out you're being laid off from your bank deposit description! We were then invited to a Zoom Webinar call a few hours later to give us the details of our layoff. The company also remotely disabled our USB drives the weekend prior making it more work to save our personal files from our computers. Then at 3pm on the dot, access to our computers was disabled and we were kicked off. 24 hours later, a box showed up on our doorsteps so we could send our laptops back. Many never even heard from their direct managers.
Would anyone care about that buffoon in pleated pants and his cadre of comedians. You know who I am taking about- Peter Sellers the CRO and his side kicks. The man get's a hard on seeing a clean excel sheet and a presentation. Got his yes men from some 2 bit OCR company and cons his way into claiming that he know how to run CD and BD. How do these jokers still have a job?
Basically, this If you are a male - you have a job. The company culture is completely gone. The team has replaced all-women with men, more so every layoff- this has gone back to the startup intent. AA is now a shell of the expansion - of what employees were sold. The bonus was a joke, received 120% approval, with a 70% payout agreed upon hire.
It's too bad, they were moving in the right direction, and then STOPPED, reverted and now it's reverted to a man only owned, start up company with no intention of expanding into the real world. If you don't know CMO or have previously worked with the CMO you don't have a job, good luck if you are female with an opinion, you need to "Know your place", it's disgraceful.
The good news, if you've worked with Riadh previously, you have a job. If you are a male - you have a job, regardless of the lack of work you actually provide. s-xism is insane. They changed focus, and now, sadly it is a 'who you know' organization.
This company has gone full-on - numbers count, people don't, and women? Shut up and sit the F down or be fired. jobs are threatened, So, it's "speak when spoken to, and know your place" workplace for women. Where are the empowered women? Where is the owner? Why is this ok? How did you go from a positive organization to the stereotypical Indian co? All of your C suite is out of their league, this company is such a disappointment. Good luck, truly.
To the person who asks how layoffs happen... You get a form letter at 9am EDT. You attend a webinar where HR reads a script. That's it. Some people had a manage reach out, some didn't. Some managers didn't know their team was losing members. You were just thrown out with the trash like you never existed. Severance is OK if you are under WARN. If not you get two weeks and COBRA dollars for two months and little severance pay depending on length of service.
Most of the C-team is over its head and they know it...

Riadh himself is a glorified product marketing who’s most successful endeavor in AA to date is to proof read the French website... and only got in due to knowing Clyde from Ring central... Financially you are secured even if you sell this thing to SF for pennies on the dollar (gone are the 20B days and probably 2B....) but your legacy and reputation in the market Can be saved, only if you do the right thing... as painful as it is you need to ask your family to step aside, you need to admit your blind spot and replace the CMO and if you can’t, no shame buddy, it’s hard, step aside and let someone else do it for you , and you know who....
Board members - WAKE UP! You have a fiduciary duty to your investors and forms! You are not doing it. AA implosion would be bigger the Wework and you will be on the hook. Get it done , get it done today

CMO turned the place toxic for the marketing team. Hired his buddies to double dip in development payouts.
CFO committed fraud when he unethically reduced people's true KPI performances for bonuses. Resulting in some who got outstanding ratings 100%+ and reduced them down to 90% ratings to save on submitted actual earned bonuses. How petty to do such a thing.

I completely agree. The Sales leadership had also engaged in shenanigans such as Channel Stuffing whereby they would offload products to distributors at a discount knowing they did not yet have an end user. Similarly, the company has a lackadaisical attitude towards compliance. I heard the company deleted private phone data from users who foolishly used company e-mail on their private phones. Normal companies would provide employees with phones if they expected them to be reachable 24/7. The ship is starting to tank and I think smart people will look for opportunities elsewhere.
The company never shared performance internally. The sales team had targets without any evidence of baseline results. Every department was riding blind despite constant requests for information. It was clear 3 months in that the company was traveling without a roadmap. By the looks of their experience, the executive team isn’t qualified to lead the business. Quarter after quarter they shared generic information, pretending to be doing well, hiring more people without a clear strategy, spending money without clear objectives. The company is built on toothpicks, nothing written in its employee handbook is followed. It’s surprising the company has lasted this long. The stories of bad behavior and unethical situations I witnessed are disgusting. The HR team did nothing to protect employees and just made things worse. The CEO, founders, and CMO instituted nepotism, 24/7 work hours, always-on expectations, no trust, and no transparency. I’m shocked that the board and investors haven’t done something to change it. 👎
I know of a couple people laid off in the US. My suspicion is that the company is facing some serious financial trouble. Automation Anywhere has never been profitable and it spent its investors’ money profligately. Venture capital investors have demanded that start-ups rein in spending. The pipeline has shrunk tremendously and the software is buggy and unable to do what the company promises. This company is a pump and dump scam. The insiders have been able to trick their gullible investors, but the reality of the mismanagement will soon emerge. I predict things will get even uglier in the coming weeks.
I was told the cuts were pretty deep this time but no one can tell. I think they're taking it one month at a time and if things don't pick up this month, I would expect more layoffs in July.
And by here, I mean the US.
