Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Sapience

Can someone tell me how to see if it's on a machine? What's the fu software name, does it show in task manager, etc.

Are we being given access to our data?

Has anyone had their Sapience data held over their head in a review-type setting?

Trying to not be alarmed but the concept is hard to wrap my head around. Why do we need this and what's the right way to respond?

@6hdh+15i9SwKK Cyberark is installed as-needed, as they're licenses attached to it and they were oversubscribed on the OFD side. Cyberark has nothing to to do with productivity monitoring - its used to grant admin rights to a machine in the least way possibly - so say you need to run Wireshark on your machine on a daily basis - previously, you'd require full admin rights for that. With Cyberark, you get added to an AD group and now you have permissions to run Wireshark (albeit being prompted by Cyberark for justification) without having other rights an "administrator" would have on a host.

Cyberark will also show in the lower right hand corner of your taskbar if its installed.

Is Cyberark also installed in our machines? How can we find that?

bottom right hand corner of your taakbar - look for a green icon that kind of looks like a battery. also, the Sapience "buddy" icon on your desktop. it does show up in taak manager... the process name escapes me atm.

you should have access to you data. the "buddy" should lead you to the console.

if you work on systems in the domain that nobody talks about, it should NOT be installed on your machine.

@1ukj+15i9SwKK It very easily shows where managements priorities are.

Hint: It is not Fiserv Clients

I've found it amusing that the company has plenty of resources and cash to invest in employee monitoring software but none to invest in the systems that serve their customers.

OFD here. Yes OFD would use it against you during review time. GTFO

Their website is (of course) very light on information.

The closest I could find was a news blurb about tracking VoIP meetings better -> https://sapienceanalytics.com/news-post/sapience-analytics-6-5-draws-more-faceted-picture-with-workforce-data/

One fun link to "marketing material" -> https://sapiencecorp.my.salesforce.com/sfc/p/#1N0000017WEf/a/1N000000Iuko/czAc9VduoBk3.7rc6DFHZVbnTgotGUyTgYu7zOM5g80

The bottom page is a laugh, and insinuates that leaders should not allow their employees to take time off, because they will be less productive for weeks when they return.

This company is based in India (even though they "moved" their corporate HQ to Texas), and my guess it was dreamed up to help managers there keep their employees at their seats to increase productivity and win more US contracts.

@mfb+15i9SwKK: do you have a link to the documentation showing the audio recording capabilities or what is being used to do audio recordings?

Mostly people trying to put as much processing as possible on an out of date mainframe to retain jobs for their family. Fairly reckless technical approach that puts Fiserv at a severe competitive disadvantage

The bulk of it will very likely be hidden, so good luck. You might try to see if it is somehow hidden in another "user" profile on your machine, where it has Ring0 access to monitor you, but you can't see it because of permissions.

If you're in EMEA it violates GDPR, I believe it's only on machines outside of emea.. it'll be in your programs, check what's installed.
