Chemineer, Chemineer, sick of hearing about mixing business every day, worst thing that ever happened at Mono apart from NOV of course, it’s certainly helped with our downfall
Take it you’re one of the DD’s from The Derby facility! Heard it all before, the down troden Chemineer crew, never your fault, always NOV for closing down the successful Derby business. From what I’ve heard, although there was more turnover it has not been profitable for years, even at Derby. Instead of travelling the world spending lots of money with no noticeable results, why don’t you roll your sleeves up and get down here and show us how it should be done? Oh sorry forgot, you don’t know how to improve things, it’s NOV!
Just to set the record straight Chemineer never failed in Derby. Chemineer were having record sales year on year and were out growing the premises.
Chemineer was then closed in Derby and moved up to Montrose (which I am led to believe was a decision made by an ex Montrose employee who had to decide which site to close between the two), where things did not go smoothly due to lack of understanding of the product. It's then been moved to Manchester where we have had the same issues and things are only just slowly going the right way. But how can you expect to upset customers with poor quality, late deliveries, increased costs and still maintain market share.
With regards cuts to the pump guys in favour of mixing people this is nothing compared to Derby, Derby have lost all but a small handful of their employees (I think down to 8 from a factory close to 90 at its peak). Including many external reps pushing the products due to NOV Contracts who were not replaced.
NOV Mono got a brand-new state of the art facility and retention of majority of the staff, Derby got closed with most losing their jobs.
So instead of moaning about how hard done by you are and we're all doomed, how about working hard and trying to make things better where you can make a difference.
But I guess the easy option for the lazy among us is to complain instead of making a difference
£1m a month was what was required but it’s never achieved this. Chemineer and the people from this failed business are one of the reasons we are in the situation we are in. NOV decided to cut all of the experienced and knowledgable pump people in favour of the weak mixer people and that will never help us keep our jobs, as long as The Derby team are at the top we are doomed, god help us all.

Haha no matter what happens today. People will still be working all week end . So how is that saving money and still all the gafthers are here . All his mates . Just keep coming in till they tell u not too. Thats my advice.

Just done 2 10shift working none stop yet every time . I looked at chemineer section that lazy fat scouse is sat down on his phone. Who is in charge of this section needs to be sacked. Your right, the manager RB, will be found out, but after 3 years, , with AON doing his job for him, it still hasn’t done him any good, how can RB keep his job when his manager GW already knows he can’t do the job, but is powerless to say or do anything because AM is his friend, a sad state of affairs!!!!!

You are right the top brass have spoken, however I think AON will be the exception. They are feeling is absence already and its only been a few days. The minimum furlough is 3 weeks after that they will get him back. In those 3 weeks RB will be found out, but his job is safe because we all know he is protected from above.
