No HR present in ranking
Glad to hear that. Maybe just the ones who will no longer have job....something else to worry about
I just had my feedback discussion under the new system. No HR rep present, just supervisor and I.
They do everything they can to humiliate and intimidate you. What next..... ?
I was told by my manager that HR waould be present. I checked with a co-worker and she was told the same thing
Wasn't aware that HR attending reviews was part of the new system. Do you know this for a fact, or are you just speculating ?
Has anyone had their final review under the new ranking? HR in the review?

Thanks for your response. I have to disagree, however. Employees are still ranked top to bottom.
New system was in the works long before CoVid and downturn in market. Old system required striatum ranking of every employee from bottom to top and was a weakness in the system New system doesn’t split atoms to differentiate individuals. Employees assessed into broader categories . Poor performers are always at risk of being separated in any large organization, in good times and bad.
Rumor is that it will only be in effect for this year only. They couldn't cut enough under the old system. Next year...………….back to the bucket system.
There should be many internal resources you can leverage to learn more. Of course this assumes you are an XOM employee...
