One on one?

Please post or + here if you get invited to an unusual or rescheduled one on one with your management.
Questions for anyone who got news of lay-off in this manner (during one on one).
Any suggestions on how to respond or prepare?

Also, per the severance document sent out, we need to be very cautious to identifying the organization and department. Do not state where you worked, if someone from Dell is looking at this threads you do not want them being able to identify anything about you or what org you worked in, be careful about this.

That is what happened to me, same exact thing. Rescheduled one on one, yet for another day and time. HR was on the call and the person who has the so called title of manager (not sure why he is, as he has no management skills), was on the call. Ran thru a script stating I was being let go.

My boss sent me an invite for a 1on1....with a conf call bridge to dial into. When I joined the call, my boss was waiting with an HR person. It was very quick. She had a canned speech and in less than 15 min, I had been let go with a severence package. From what I have heard, that's how a lot of others were let go.
