Anyone know what’s going to happen to the I store business people, I was going to apply for a position once it opened up...but not so sure after this. Thoughts?

Our rep was knowledgable and did a good job with our business customers. Closed a lot for our location at Big Log. The rep for our sister store, Succasunna, did not do as well.
Lmao smb/r2b is NOT the only profitable segment in the business. That is ludicrous. They are generally lazy id–ts (some exceptions) but they DO get growth. But the only profitable segment in the business? That’s crazy talk.
SMB/ R2B is the only profitable segment in the company actually, they do better than BAMs and have more growth than retail
Guess it just depends on who you have but ours is a beast. I don’t see them going anywhere
Most R2B specialists I worked with were lazy (reguarding leads) and useless when tagged into a conversation with a business customer (basically the “what do you want me to do” attitude. No real need for them in a store lol
Were the SMB reps worth having in the first place? In theory yes, but very few closed deals. I know many that were not good at their job and only got the position because they were an SM or banger rep who could interview well. The position will be axed most likely.
I can’t imagine Verizon wanting retail store clerks helping business customers under the new structure. Personally I will clerk every business transaction as possible because I’m not padding someone else’s check that is not on the same commission structure as me.
It’s been rumored for a very long time that the R2B specialist role is going to come to an end. Believe me, no one is really going to care anymore about submitting leads to them.
They will prob sit at home calling leads until the company figures out what they are gonna do with them. This is the part a lot of people are missing with this change, we won't need the same head count going forward and we don't really need a R2B rep taking up space in the store.
That's a damn good question I haven't hear anything about them
