Timeline for Returning to the Office

Sounds like that timeline for the very few returning June 15th has been set aside with no mention of when to expect that first trickle back. I’m thinking it won’t be until after Labor Day or 2021 befor the entire workforce returns, depending on the state of Covid infection. Way to Go Texas and California, your reopening efforts have been a huge win...

Hearing it may take another 6 months to a year before we are back in the office

I doubt we will ever return to the office. This is just the beginning for C19.

The way things are going in Houston, we may not return until 2022.... seems a business opens for a day or week, then it has to close again because some numbnuts went out without a mask and caught COVID!

But how will we mosey around doing nothing all day but schmooze to ensure we get a job in the PDC?

Why are we even going thru the whole selection process??? Just put us where you already know you want us or let us go!

Just return the new organization in 2021. Prepaid postage boxes can be used to return company property.

@2ose, Stop dreaming. When I was laid off in 2016, I received my termination papers with instructions from HR. One of the items regarded the return of all company equipment, including badge, company mobile phones and laptop by a certain date. Failure to do this before a the expressed date would result in a cost deduction from the final paycheck and/or severance pay. So sorry. You better steal all the pens and paper clips you want from the supply room if you want a parting gift.

My guess is that 500-2000 won’t ever return

I mean all those people will need to be in the office to return their PCs... I wonder how the current EOIs are returning PCs? Maybe they will just be parting gifts?

How many need to go back to do the selection event, NOT THAT many really. My guess is they will start trickling back after Independence Day based on Virus Data. Probably Senior management and PSG's needed to do selections. I would expect the offices to be mostly full in time for the selection event week in September or a few weeks before. Have a nice summer

On yeah, think about recorded selection panels deliberations. So easy, and such good material for lawsuits!!!

Are you just chomping at the bit to go back? Have you mastered working from home? Figured out a way to keep kids and pets out of your video meetings? Will it be better after you EOI ?

Labor Day sounds to close for entire workforce... Maybe for stage 3. I think they’re terrified of having selection events remotely. Let the games begin.
