Honeywell PMT UOP informed employees that there will be another RIF, following the ones in April and middle June, people are asked to self-nominate, and get form from HR to submit by noon on July 1, 2020.
I can confirm comment below that RIF's took place on Monday 6/15 as I was RIF'ed out of Atlanta - HCE.
The voluntary self nomination at Aero was Monday by noon. Not sure when we will hear if we got accepted. Was denied last time around 😪. Does anyone know the timing? Not heard anything yet???
Not sure that is true... haven' heard of any nonvoluntary RIFs at Aerospace today..
The rif took place yesterady (Monday) cross all businesses in Hon.
You think that they don't already plan to either eliminate or severely cut that back anyway?
You think there will be a 401K match! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
Must act quickly to be sure all who are RIFED are off the books by NLT mid Dec so they can avoid the stock match next Q1.
Any RIF in Glendale Az Space ?
Here comes the RIF wagon ready to collect whichever workforce that was leftover from the last RIF.
Never have I witnessed a series of RIFs so close to each other there would be no time to lick your wounds before having to go through it all over again. For crying out loud, can the VPs, Presidents or even DA see the madness that have driven this company so unstable that shutting down will be a far painful death than taking up a few workforce here and there. At this rate, it will be like the plan of just f—ging the whole Honeywell altogether and with it jobs and lifes.
Since volunteers aren't due until tomorrow I would have thought, for Aero, that the RIFs wouldn't start until the next Monday.
But they moved so fast last time I just can't tell. If our team gets any smaller I just won't be able to worry about metrics. Just wouldn't be able to meet them.
Defies logic they would not select someone that wants to leave. I had an employee who volunteered years back and wasn’t selected, he threw his feet on the desk and didn’t do a thing for nearly a year till he left and there was nothing I could do about it. If they want out l, let them! You a fool to think they will continue that essential work.
25%
Outter elbows beware...
I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to be accepting a high percentage of volunteers this time. I know if several who were denied last round and put in again.
Chances are they know which branches to prune first.
it's based on combination of factors such as performance( I. e block rating, behavior ratings), managerial ranking (rumored), tenure.
How are people receiving notifications already? The voluntary “requests” are not due until noon AZ time on Monday. Doesn’t sound right.
Start that early for V-RIP?
Yes..that's the process. Director or above schedules a 30 min mtg. He/she reads a script, HR on call too. By end of day access is shut off.
Remove personal content from pc, take your list of contacts. A new chapter begins and that's not a bad thing.
Can anyone else verify the message about Monday meetings on people's Calendars???
They aren't communicating any numbers or percentages. I know of several Aero engineering coworkers that received a meeting notice from our director on Friday for a phone call Monday June 16th and that seems to be how the RIF is being done.
