Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

When is next round after this?

Anyone have any insight on if or when there will be another RIF after this one? Or maybe how many are planned remainder of the year? They seem to be moving fast on this one

I was RIF'ed HCE-Atlanta on Mon June 15 so things are still going on. Don't know who else was RIF'ed with me.

With these first two RIFs, a mere month apart, HON will have succeeded in laying off between 35 - 40% of the Aero US and Canada non-production employees. Not certain of the production employee RIF target. 50% before the end of the year is not hard to imagine.

The half-life of Honeywell is about 4 to 6 months.

There was a significant RIF at Olomouc.

I work with India daily. Seem to be nice intelligent people with no training.

Strategy lay-off a hand full everyday across the board from different businesses and functions, so it’s not so obvious and flies under the radar.

No clue but I would really like to know if anyone other than the U.S. and Canada are getting RIF’d. If not, then it seems sad Covid is being used as another excuse by the foreign nationals now running this U.S. company to get rid of North American employees. The fact is I have seen in tools that it takes 3 people in India to replace one U.S. person and they still take longer and are often clueless because they are not proactive enough to ask questions or question the information they have or even suggest better ways to do what is being asked. This company is trading quality for the bottom line. There needs to be a happy medium and laying off quality skilled workers isn’t smart. It’s just shortsighted.

Could be as quick as next month after just completing the first rounds of RIF. Its highly unthinkable that in this day and age the only way to overcome a crisis if to take away jobs. Its like the last few downturns had taught these leaders anything about crisis management besides jusy cutting jobs.
Honeywell has taken the move to oust 50% of the workforce next month which in fact will still require the ones that remain to shoulder on those silly targets that is sent to the emails by KS. The buffon, KS, should have stayed spinning off Honeywell's businesses instead of running one. With less than incredible results and many disheartened workers, I wish him the best of luck in not driving a business under.
