Has anyone seen anything in writing about severance pay?
At least 750 employees are affected.
Does anyone know how many employees were impacted?
@Ytlw+15w4mtbW - does it have to be in writing? At my previous job it did.
Technically we were give 68 days notice. Announcement was on August 11 the end date is October 17 = 68 days.
Does anyone know if they have to officially give us a 60 day WARN notice since they are laying off such a large number of employees? The last company I worked for that had a large layoff did it...
I’m at peace with the fact that if they hit our department then it will be okay. As of now we are told we are safe but I don’t trust Ascension one ounce. God makes no mistakes on our growth so everyone stay in prayer and have faith. 2020 has been an entire nightmare but what doesn’t k–l us makes us stronger.
From NYTimes: The St. Louis-based Ascension Health, which operates 150 hospitals nationwide, has received at least $211 million from Health and Human Services. The company, with $15.5 billion in cash, operates a venture capital fund and an investment advisory firm that helps other companies manage their money.
Nick Ragone, a spokesman for Ascension, said the federal funds “facilitated our ability to serve our communities during this unprecedented time.” He said Ascension had not furloughed or laid off any workers and wouldn’t do so for “as long as possible.”
BECAUSE THEY KNEW THEY'D BE OUTSOURCING THEM IN A FEW MONTHS
Too bad I didn't find this thread in June when it was posted. I would have started looking for a new job then.
Analysts in Products are now all scrambling to get out. The VP stated during her meeting that their hope is the application analysts could retrain for build and design positions—after stating that of course Ascensions needs are always "evolving". Based on want they are doing with this round, there will maybe be 10% of try jobs retained, but with different titles.

Ascension cut several jobs in Indianapolis Indiana but are still giving managers at their health ministries bonuses this year. Multiple emails were sent out praising how they didn’t cut jobs during pandemic and helped associates. They most certainly cut jobs last week including their Mission Director with more cuts coming in the next two weeks.

Layoffs coming in a few months. Get ready.
I asked my Team Lead about these rumors over a month ago. They were told not to address this a referred me to speak with a manager. Don’t you find it odd that they haven’t sent out any communication to the service desk about this? If this was only a rumor it would be a quick email out to stomp it out. It’s clear from talking with my TL that this topic has been talked about in their weekly opps meeting. It makes zero sense that they haven’t sent out any communication. The only logical explanation is that it is true, and that they don’t want to communicate this. If the rumor isn’t true, then it’s not in their best interest to leave it out there. Why? Because this rumor lower morale. It causes people to ask why should I bother.
where dem layoffs be at?
