It looks like the company is bringing back many of it's salaried executives next week (I received a call today). Very surprising considering that we already know they cannot afford all of these managers in the building. All salaried executives will be back fully in my building next week. Any ideas as to what the motives are behind this?

They’re getting called back to get the talk.. either severance, or take a FT captain positioned in some cases if salary isn’t above max a regular full tile position with promises of a brighter future. Hahaha
Problem is they got rid of a lot of tenured SMS so the “district” people could keep a job! I know one SM that was district that knows absolutely nothing on how to run a store. What a joke!
Everything is going to happen in July. Alot of restructuring in our store in Laredo Texas.
Don’t get excited. Sounds like two weeks from now almost half will be let go.
I can’t believe you all haven’t realized why. Wow. They are going to be glorified sales colleagues. Won’t have to pay overtime. Salaried is the new part time replacement who won’t be returning
Which store in NJ had executives come back ?

Is this salaried executives in-store or in corporate?
I work in a store on the East Coast. I know of multiple stores that began calling back their salaried managers today for a next week start in their buildings. Hearing it is beyond those few stores though. No news on any hourly colleague callbacks however.
