Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Disgusting Company

Refused to close during a global pandemic with humorous responses when mentioned feeling unwell, along with disbelieving/inconvenienced reaction when people thought they had symptoms. Constantly told we’re staying open as we’re key workers yet now the government says all key workers can carry their holiday over we’re not. Half the site told their pay rises have been revoked and asked to take 2 weeks unpaid leave, the bare minimum were able to work from home so they look to be doing the right thing. The work never slowed down and with every negative communication it was always ended with how important it is that we think about the customers. No one is thinking of us. 2 months later after refusing to take up furlough support, redundancies are coming in and they can’t even do that right, cancelling and postponing people’s meetings, disgusting way to treat people in such a stressful time and a disgusting company to work for. Why hasn’t anyone organised an official strike?

No big companies are angels. They don't care about people except to the point that when you so obviously treat people like t–ds, most of them eventually wise up and leave or stay but no longer do a good job.

So this one thinks t–d treatment is acceptable daily. They have treated people like t–ds for so long, they now actually think people ARE t–ds (or t–ds are people). take you pick. either way they're fine with flushing us all down the toilet.

You are only there for one thing... to make them money. If you can not do that, you are not needed.

Honeywell isn't a disgusting company. The people that run it are disgusting and unscrupulous. Its unimaginable as to what this company can and cannot do with these people manning it.
Be weary of the leaders who are 2 faced about their intentions where the constant back stabbing will render anyone emotionless.

Simple. You strike it is a resignation.

Go ahead, you save the company severance. Be the first and show us the way!

Taking a quote from Homer Simpson, "If you don't like your job, you don't go on strike. You just go in every day and do it really half-assed – that's the American way."

Don't get mad and quit, but don't try too hard either. If you're based in the US you're likely to get laid off soon regardless of your performance. Some people take stuff way too personally. This isn't all about about you. This is about moving headcount out of the US where labor and healthcare costs are high and getting rid of unwanted business units and groups that don't align with HON's new business vision. HON is not letting this crisis go to waste. The only thing that really matters right now is saving $.
