VRIFs from SPS

J waldron, VP HR, and some cronies got together yesterday afternoon to discuss the submissions and RIFs. (Lol I See them reading this and wondering how the hell do they know that) That info discussed was sent probably today or Monday to site VPs then next week on Thursday 25th or Friday we will all know whether the names that were invited to last Thursdays web call will have their VRIF accepted but we will also find out the non volunteered RIFs for the additional people. My guess is 10-15% cuz that sh– is already thin as i thought it could ever be in Freeport, IL. Find another job people as i am already getting interviews. HW from a corporate level is the most toxic i have ever come across. Plant level hasn’t been perfect but no were is and that can be tolerated. But when Execs make decisions with zero compassion for employees the employees never forget. This goes for the newly hired and above. I can’t for-see with this mentality that HW will be retaining the top level talent like myself as i’m smart enough to realize if i don’t get let go now i maybe in the future. So i will find something better as i know for a fact not EVERY company big or small operates like this.

Every business unit is failing, PPE has only been propped up by current circumstances. What I have to deal with on a daily basis has blown my mind, compete circus with the biggest clowns up top. Shame, as most of the markets are rich in spoils for anyone with half a brain and a basic grasp of how to develop a new product. You can only live of legacy for so long.

I volunteered for the SPS RIF and was notified today that it has been accepted. Have not been given a final date yet but assume I'll hear something soon, maybe by COB today.

I wonder if the recent SPS survey had anything to do with the meeting? It was due last week.

SPS lays off twice a year due to the fact that JW wrecks every new business they acquire. The pandemic only provides an opportunity to rift even deeper. SPS is the most toxic place with a horrible culture. Every line of business losses market share, implodes and craters in making the AOP while SPS spins the reasons for the failures.
