JD is right about employees saying there is too much beauracracy. Yes a lot of silos and people are very territorial, tribal. There are VPs reporting into another VP who reports into another VP...way too top heavy. Also I saw that someone mentioned there are directors/managers who have no direct reports, that's because the title doesn't reflect how many people you manage, it's a reflection of your pay. So if you get paid _x_ amount then your job title has to reflect that. But there are also times where a "director" in a certain function, his/her counterpart in another function doing the same or less work is a "VP"

They’re not using COVID as an excuse which is refreshing to see. Too much empire building in silos.

Translation....."We are using C-19 to layoff a bunch of people, make everyone who stays work 2x as hard ...so we can boost our earnings report, so Wall Street is happy and they rate our stock favorably, so fund managers buy our stock, so we can hire more people....."

This FTE got laid off mid-june. All to free up more $$$ for more VPs and Sr directors. Amazingly top-heavy with upper management and bloated with ETWs and career-trapping silos.

I'm glad I got out when I did, and on my own terms. These layoffs/reorgs started to become a yearly thing and it made doing your job impossible. People having no idea what they're working on, or who they report to. Not to mention the paranoid gossip and backstabbing going on.

All to just make Wall St. happy for one more quarter, I guess.

Yes, layoffs are absolutely coming late June and beginning of July. It will be mostly contractors (ETWs) while some FTEs will be moved around the organization - some functional areas will shrink in size and others will grow a little. I think later in the year - September or later some FTEs will be laid off as well.
