Judging by the posts here, Verizon has never had a less satisfied workforce than it does now. Morale seems to be as low as it can get. People are fighting amongst each other while the management is enjoying the show. Why worry about employees holding them accountable when they keep blaming each other? Really people? Is this really what we've become?

Hi Hans! @lgwk
People who say “if you don’t like your job, quit” is what’s wrong with this company.
I love what i do. This company has been nothing less than amazing when it comes to how they treated and COMPENSATED their employees during this crisis. Kudos to Verizon and kudos to the people that WANT to be here. If you’re not happy doing what you do or who you work for... QUIT! It’s simple!!
Took the VSP in 2019, no regrets! Couldn’t be happier! Making less money and doing what I love! Money can’t buy happiness.
It’s what Verizon has become. It’s like working is a living Game if Thrones episode.
Screw you! We’ve never been happier you stooge!
"People are fighting amongst each other while the management is enjoying the show."
You're kidding, right?
OP, what's color's the sky in your world? Things haven't been this good in years.
You're referencing a website that complainers, individuals who individually post multiple times to give the false appearance of consensus, gravitate to (i.e., "secret sauce" guy, union-hater Karen), as evidence, and to bolster the foundational premise upon which to build your argument?
That's silly and disingenuous brah.
@2wpn, happy to hear you got a union job.
If less time were spent on PPs, that would leave more time to rid the existing IT system of deficiencies.
I once heard a fella refer to them as PowerPointless.
When Hans came on board to Verizon he said he didn't like powerpoints. So why is GTS (IT) producing so many decks today?
@2ifx - If you don't like braggers then that would mean you don't like any collectively bargained for employees who brag about their contracts ad nausium among other things. You are on the right track!
@2wpn, who are you disparaging? It makes absolutely no sense, adding that.
Not a fan of a person who boasts about achievements or possessions.
I'll choose a person with humility over a braggart any day of the week.
It worked out for you. It was a disastrous move for others.
Took VSP 2019 and found another job with a great company with a pay and benefits increase! Taking VSP was one of the best career decisions I have ever made. At the time it wasn't easy as I am over 50 and when I joined VZ in my early 40s I thought it was going to be the company I would retire at. I'll stop here as I take the non-disparagement clause in my VSP agreement seriously.
Union is here to stay. If your not happy working at Verizon go work with your mommy.
No $hit in IT it’s deck after deck of self promoting our VP as she says says she in humbled and honored . She needs to lay off the twinkes and actually spend time understanding her team
The Union ruined it....I love reading that nonsense... what did they get in the last few contracts, nothing gained all give backs... Name 1 or 2 things they gained in the last contract, and you can’t say raises, they just covered the Union dues increase and the medical they pay for...
Morale is terrible on my team, and I’m management. There are 4 of us under our Sr Manager and we all commiserate daily. Our boss seems miserable too. Nobody ever says “no” to directors, we end up creating 60 page PowerPoint decks with so much minutia nobody can really absorb it. I think they believe that by drowning the audience in data we sound like we know what’s going on but really it’s a lot of BS.
Unions have that much influence and power over corporations and colleges ? Maybe they do, they made you P P on the floor in a verizon store..........
Unions and their entitleds have caused healthcare and college costs to skyrocket. They bankrupt governments. And now they have ruined this layoff site.
