I am so valued that they have trusted to give me 5 times the work. I feel so special now that I come to work with more pride than ever, every single day ;)

I feel very appreciated. Every morning when I walk in I realize how lucky I am to have a job. Thankfully Macy’s continues to treat me wonderfully as though I were part of the family. It is truly a blessing.

I feel like I could be replaced any day now for no reason whatsoever for someone who will do my job for less money. It's already happening across the board, who says i'm not next? Make no mistake about it, at Macy's, you are INDISPUTABLY, just a number. Period. End of discussion.

If someone truly believes their age and favoritism had anything to do with being terminated, it’s a possible class action lawsuit. There would need to be a large group of employees, that need to file a suit together.

Well let’s see. I begin my day being treated like a criminal. Then my “ manager “ if you wanna it that (who did nothing ) would say oh well customers complain as a scare tactic to get you to do their job while they wonder the store shopping . ( they got cut in feb ) your coworkers ( shoe runners ) sit and gossip and talk about their bbq grills while dodging their duty’s and you end up doing their job and your job and the sack of potatoes managers job all while customers tell you that you should be the manager. And my response was if I was. I would wipe out my whole dept and start over. The. You get the corporate walk thru ( complete waste of Time) where your lazy sack of potatoes manager tries to shine up the dept to make it look like they are working at the expense of your health of trying to do 5 people’s jobs ! The end results was every year we got a new manager cause not one of them did a anytype of real work. Customer are down right trash in my store.

Yes, I do feel valued and appreciated. I've made it through numerous downsizings and layoffs at Macy's, but I expect the next time it happens, I won't. I'm expecting it. The next one will close our store completely and there's nowhere else to go.

  • and they have no problem telling you it is business and colleagues gave their all. I anyone called out on a one day sale and told them it was business they would respond by telling you not to come back. After decades, what a slap in the face. No one should be out on TV talking about how they treat people because it is just a shame.

I gave 20 years servitude & terminated b/c I made a whopping $1.69 over minimum wage, & though I wasn't happy there I was still a dedicated worker with work ethic. I was underpaid & underappreciated when I was under employment with them, & clearly expendable having been shamefully axed from the company via email. I think that sums up everything.

You need to ask that question after 30,000 plus associates were eliminated.
Many of who had 20-30 years of dedication.

The majority of associates are between that age ! Now ask again the meaning of value .

You have a job not a career any longer - career growth & development is a thing of the past and if you think there is something be prepared to be amongst the future casualties. I assure you there will be closures & layoffs coming
