The problem with all of WSS is that there is no punishment for poor work and no reward for good work. So there is no motivation.

The problem with Brandt is during the merger they should have been brought under Rig. Many will scoff at that, but it was fitting to do so.

There were talks about that happening. It didn’t go through because the SMT lobbied hard for that to not happen because they didn’t want others to know that they were keeping production costs low for better IUM and for rig packages.

Then they would make up the difference in screen sales.

There was also a poor practice of selling to customers without regards to margins in the hope to maintain customer relations. For instance, hot shot a bolt to a rig instead of giving them a parts list of things they could be locally or source in bulk. So you send the bolt and lose a couple to a few grand in cost that was not reimbursed.

There are other issues with Brandt. If you have ever worked there, you’d know.

OK, so now all of us want to know who stole what. I am sure we have a good idea of the who but want to know what he stole? Was it a red have 4 wheels and a soft top? lol.. The suspense is k–ling me. Isn't it sad that some people get away with this behavior and even move up within the ranks.. Then want to talk about someone clocking out 8 min late accusing them "stealing" time from the company. How hypocritical of him.

I agree with CKRules, you should pay us what we deserve. Thinking that "allowing" us to be employed is good enough is not going to help when market picks up. Some of us have taken on much more responsibility with out any adjustment in pay... Keep the title but "Show me the Money". This place has lost so much and yet our SMT is still intact making way more than they should. Why not reduce the SMT salary by 10-15% so they too feel the crunch of hours lost= less money etc. Why not have some of them get out on the floor and push the crews at least they would then understand how things work. Most of them have no clue what it takes to make this place run. Even our MFG leadership does not understand and they are the ones that should at least know what it takes to get the job done. Our sales team is not pursing other markets.. even the Industrial group is chasing the same clients with very little progress in bringing in new work. Get work that utilizes our new fancy laser, weld shop hours, brake press and machine shop.. get something going. But that group is not actually working they are more like order takers not cold calling or chasing prospects etc. They are not going to beat down your door begging you to take their work! Dump this group and they are very heavy in overhead due to massive salaries. This place is the true meaning of Insane... change is needed from the top first as the rest of the sheep will follow for sure.

First off you must be one of the yes men still there. Second, no one needs your permission to post. Third, it's not slander if it's true. Most of the post on here may have juvenile nicknames but I worked here and know most of the comments are true. Nicknames are given so the post stays on the board...so blame the legal team at NOV for the need to use nicknames. The leaders here are only concerned about themselves and have changed a place I called home for 20+ years. More than you as there are only a few still there with anything more than 10 years. You use to get awards for service and actually would get to pick a gift to honor your service. You use to enjoy coming to work and do your job...put in 65-70 hours a week with pride. Yes that is gone and will never return for this place. Take TOT for instance they kept their seasoned employees for their knowledge. This place cut them out for the cheaper less experienced worker... why not give them the salaries of the person they replaced? If they are better then they should get compensated for that role. If and when it picks up those people will answer to a nephew or friend of one of the leaders, they will not get the title or pay. So grow up or grow old or whatever... this place is toxic and some of you worker bees need to know who you actually work for. Is it slander if it is true...nope just googled it. I know and seen and would go in front of the judge or god himself that there is one man in a high position of manufacturing there that has stolen numerous times from this company... yes he is reading this and knows I'm right. So I'm sure this post will get removed but facts are facts. I know my truth.

Brandt really is a good place to work. You don’t even have to do anything all day and you get paid! Just ride out the clock and hide. Lead man on up are clueless.
