Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Ready To Move On

Personally, I am tired of Nike’s inhumanity, discrimination, and its general toxic culture.

I want to be employed, feed my family, keep a roof over our heads, clothing on our backs, and pay the bills especially at this time when millions of Americans are unemployed (breaks my heart, by the way).

With that said, I have done all I can do to prepare for what may come – getting laid off.

One thing I can tell you though, I have already started the search for a new job and the moment I land one be it next week, next month or six months from now, I am leaving Nike behind.

Nothing, I believe, is worth the sh– we deal with on a daily basis at Nike mostly stemming from people who, literally, do nothing of value.

@5trh, it’s nothing like telling immigrants to go back to their country.

OP said they wanted to move on. If they want to move on, they should.

Not only are they not enjoying the experience, I can 100% guarantee their teammates are also not enjoying their presence.

It’s better for everyone involved.

lol from the like and dislike you can tell what people's mood is about

from the 2 posts about "quit and go away", just like the people who told immigrants to go back their country

Please quit.

If you hate it, leave and help somebody that loves it keep their job.

If you don’t want to fight for change and would rather wallow in your misery, we are better off without you.

LOL...I have been at Nike for 6 years now. Every year, there is some type of unrest - some from within and some from without. I do not expect this to get better or stop anytime soon. It will be some ride!

Nike loves to hop on van wagon. Female movement, racial discrimination etc.

Lately, they are on Black Live Matters. I feel like puking.

And then they are on Washington Redskins van wagon too.

There is life after Nike! And it’s better than you think! We are brainwashed to think that Nike is the best thing out there. No, it’s a big fear culture. I’ve never been happier.

None of those things you mentioned boosts Nike's stock price. Yes, there was a time when it felt like leadership actually cared, but that ended the minute Parker sold Nike's soul to Wall St. In 2015.
