So does this mean all hope is lost? Do we just roll over and show our bellies? I don’t think so! I’ve been out there a long time and I’m not retirement age. I’m not giving up just yet. Stand tall and fight to keep you job if you want it. If it’s still a no for them after 3 months then you know you did all you could.

"Having you passing PIP looks bad on your supervisors. You sure their views are questionable? These people are perfect and flawless employees to begin with."
Truer words have never been spoken! They are indeed Gods!
Like an ex that refuse to leave despite the cues. Why go so low for a company that doesn’t value your contributions in the first place. AND! Having you passing PIP looks bad on your supervisors. You sure their views are questionable? These people are perfect and flawless employees to begin with.
Still it’s your choice. I wish you all the best.
The PIP is not guaranteed to last 3 months.
They can choose to end it during any of the scheduled reviews along the way. After a week it can be deemed not sufficient performance has been improved ie not in the right track, and therefore one can be immediately terminated.
The risk/reward profile of PIP and PIL are non-commensurate
Odd but you were weighed and found to be not worthy.. good luck..
a pointless exercise - the 3-month vast improvement. either you had no supporter or mistakenly spoke the truth to a bitter little wad in power - maybe 2 years ago.
take the option 2 and work the so-called job-finders to nausea level.
There are no heroes here - and pride is out the door. It's XOM, baby.
Broken cross my mouth and hope to.
@ocv they're not breaking the law lol. There're many in contracting companies that have lost jobs and have far lower salaries than exxon engineers.
If you REALLY enjoy working sure why not. Although I doubt it would change anything because they know the answer before even asking the question.
@vba I don't think they wanted you either...
I am not so sure if I want the job anymore. So long EM...
You can do your 3 months but makes sure you have a plan b in the meanwhile. The PIP this time is a cover up.
