They review all US sites all the time. Phoenix a– whole gets reviewed dye to do many different sites. A few years dog they wanted to shutter Deer Valley, Tempe and Glendale but then government said NO to Glendale.

One saying goes”Honeywell doesn’t care how much it would cost to save money”

What about South Bend? I have heard our large furnaces keep us safe because they would be expensive to move. But I am not sure if that is still the case.

Old news. Fewer sites is a fact. Just always be ready for change. It is a job not you life. Save money and update your resume. Maybe do a “practice” interview. Maybe you will find something better.

Honeywell will do anything to cut costs. If it means moving products or departments to another facility they will.

Are there any sites which are going to be closed down in the next 2 years, please leave comments/ hints. It may help some of us reading this page to get prepared to make that move earlier outside. There must be some news up the grapevine of sites already lined up since DA made that commitment to reduce 50% of the sites.

@xhp. Former GSI. Correct, Torrance was supposed to be announced this year.

Torrance is not going to close down anytime soon. There is a slowed commercial production load and normal military load with what I deal with. Anniston just transferred a lot of items to the R&O department there. There are also R&D test facilities that would be extremely expensive to reproduce elsewhere.

Any news on Tulsa or Torrance? Those were the next 2 sites that were going to be announced after Anniston.

Aero probably has around 60 sites in total. 50% would be 30 sites left. Just look and see that manufacturing will shut down completely.

For Starters, my best guess would be most, if not all of the Aero sites. Unfortunately....

Just a continuation of the plan to reduce buildings by 50%. Glad I was able to get out.
