Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

South Carolina unemployment

Asking here because the people who are supposed to know do not know: Anyone know if you can collect unemployment in SC while on severance? No one at the unemployment office that I was able to speak to could say for sure.

I have 4 weeks of severance...really 2 for 2 weeks' notice and 2 for my 2 yrs of service. I just got my first severance check on the 23rd after being let go as of July 3, so I wonder if this will prevent me from collecting unemployment for the past 3 weeks, plus the extra Covid $600 per week, which ended on the 25th. Appreciate hearing from anyone who has recent experience with this.

That is my point, Honeywell does not care if you get severance or unemployment You Literally are on you own. As D and the t-shirt wearing id–ts “The Future Is What You Make It”.

You cannot get severance as long as you are getting unemployment because they ask if you are receiving severance and what the amount is. The $600 covid monies ended last week so you will not collect that either.

OP here...I did apply for the week after July 3 and thereafter. No one at SC DEW seems to be able to tell me why my application is held up and what I need to submit to get things moving.

I do not see a no income clause in SC. You should have applied immediately and every week since July 3rd

Key - simply apply for unemployment and they willl
let you know. The key is to get into the system.

Interesting that a $B company could not provide details surrounding weeks when employees(Families) are notified, 1-week of a lay-off or reduction in pay.

Aren’t employees the most important asset??

I want to tank you for all you do!!

“The future is what you make it”....wait lay-off...wait...no lay-off...wait 4qtr, lay-off...just kidding...wait...no pay

Several of my coworkers here in SC were able to draw unemployement with severance when they laid off.

SC is a total pro-business (that means bend over for you) state. You get nothing.
