This will be situational if it happens. Example if you have two stores within 30 mins of eachOther. Okay I can see it, but places like South Dakota for example, the core stores are over a hour + from each other. Just isn’t practical. Big cities were you have 4-5 stores all in the same city? Absolutely! Aso wouldn’t be shocked to see this with a mixture of express stores.

If a district has 8 stores and 8 gms right now, in a year if we still have the same 8 stores open I highly doubt the 8 gms will remain. Given they are in close proximity of each other

Has anyone checked the job board lately they are back filling in some parts of the country for leadership roles. I do agree this will happen but not for another 18-36 months they will k–l commission off first have to change the brand first before this could happen.

This WILL happen... it’s going to roll out soon. Be prepared for leadership layoffs.

I heard something along these lines a while back. SMs and reps end up running the stores anyway because GMs are tied up in repetitive and irrelevant calls and posting in teams. Most DMs couldn’t process a transaction for a customer in the POS system much less handle day in day out procedure that keeps the stores running, meanwhile are getting paid the big bucks to shovel whatever disconnected and ignorant idea is coming from above them in to our mouths. I think it’s a fine idea to restructure. Too many levels of pointless management.

1 GM for 2 stores. 2 SMs 1 lead rep for each store. That’s more then enough people to run a store. In return you’ll need less gms and possibly less DMs.

This would not work at all. A gm/sm would work but Sundays messes it all up. The company does not want to give access to certain things to reps so that would not work. Numbers and revenue have to be driven with the current state of affairs and reps are dropping like ducks. So this post is not true. If we where staying closed on Sunday than this would work. I could see dms getting more stores.

In this new model, SMs, DMs and Directors have just been made obsolete - as if they weren't before. No reason for them at all. GMs can work with a couple of Lead Reps, HR, Trainers, & Operations and accomplish everything needed to operate a Retail Store given this new structure and roll directly to Retail VPs. Other companies operate that way. There is zero reason to keep all of those layers of management on the payrolls. Do us all a favor and get rid of the DMs and Directors. All they do is deliver beatdowns for Touch Less metrics, ARD, and Insurance and those beatdowns were all suppose to be gone with One Team structure and "new method of coaching," so they are NOT practicing the new model/method.

With all the changes I think it is safe to assume there will be major leadership adjustments coming sooner then later. For the last several months all managers have done is triage a cue line. There is zero leadership within the store to police what’s going on as well as help with team selling. They need to hire permanent door guards so that managers can do what they are suppose to do inside the stores. Also remember there are stores that are strictly curbside and by appointment only. Do these stores need 3-4 managers in those locations? Some stores have 3 managers with 4 - 5 reps. That’s nutty. After all the work from home jobs are filled that is when you will see some reorganization and cuts made. They won’t be tiny ones either.
