Facts, throwing everyone under the bus is not just a Sam's thing. This goes on in every workplace. I have seen people act like they are your friend, then as soon as you are out of sight start talking bad about you. Words of advice, keep your personal life out of there. Dont talk about anything you dont want to have out in the open, these people are not your friends. They only want to pry to use something against you. If you dont tell them anything, they wont know anything. Like some said on here, if you are a lazy worker it's ok, the senior people will clean your mess up and straighten it all out. Management will look to the senior people and wonder and coach them as to why things arent done. Forgetting that others arent pulling their weight. So basically you have 2 options in Sam's to succeed. Be a lazy non productive associate, or be a brown noser. If you succeed in any of these 2 areas you will go far in this company and at your store.

We have cliques of managers and certain TL's. Very sad. We have some very mean cashiers who like to make the new people feel inadequate. And what does management do? Nothing, but oh let's give them a raise and they will magically become good workers. Good luck with that. I have not respect for management with the exception of one. I also am going to call out our club for practicing age discrimination.

Speaking as a floor associate, it’s the team talk that pisses me off more than anything. Instead of telling me I have to put up with someone else’s laziness or act of being dumb so that nothing is expected of them, why not actually correct the problem for a change

Words of advice. Underpromise and overdeliver. You'll be a hero in this company.

If you think associates are bad, it’s even worse with managers and team leads. They are all a bunch of snakes

Sam's is turning into overstock.com. Buying worthless junk for pennies. Wait until all the junky Christmas stuff comes in like a couple years ago when they bought all the toys r us unsellable garbage.

As a lead dont think everyone is going to be happy to be there you got your raise to at least `18 an hour and I will no longer go above and beyond to help anything about this company. No matter what I do my raise will be a joke. I dont call out and at one time would of helped any dept or coworker but things have changed after 15 years. Company has become a joke and there's people on here that put this company before anything in there life because they think they matter. Wake up and look at what they do, they will eventually give raises and in return people will lose there job. Look out cashiers those register will be going soon and will only need a third to watch over self checkouts. Will always need forklift operators because the buyers cant seem to order correctly we either dont have enough product or get hit with way too much c-ap we dont need. Trucks everyday but still get mutiple pallets of product that does not sell very well and they best thing they do is let us run out of something and them send 5 or 6 pallets if the same merchandise. Before all the a– kissers start replying I am not talking about water, paper and sodas so try something different.
