Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Don’t drink the kool-aid!

This company will s— the life out of you! I tried for so many years at the sacrifice of my family. If you are worried about layoffs right now hang in there and then get the f— out. The best thing I’ve ever done is leaving this company. I could say many more things, but the a–holes that rule this company will never understand. I always saw Nike as the golden ticket, but I was so wrong!

@3ftd - why the snarky, rude comment. Your idea of “fresh talent” didn’t work out for you too well. According to your post, you’re a former employee who wants their job back.

Yes! PLEASE leave so I can get my job back. All your 10+ year swoosh old timers need to step aside and let fresh talent clean up the cobwebs.

@1bnt

Yep. I clearly remember my therapist visibly cringing when I said I worked at Nike.

I was an FTE for a decade, and finally left when my anxiety + depression became untenable. That doesn't mean the transition was easy or a relief. It's hard to un-drink the Kool-Aid. The third time I cried to my shrink about the 'stupidity of leaving a good Nike job,' he replied without missing a beat: 'Nike is a toxic $#!&-hole. Mu colleagues and I agree that if we ONLY saw Nike employees, we'd have patients around the block. Everyone is miserable.'
Life's gotten exponentially better. Keep walking...

Whenever I interview people it's clear that for every person with Nike horror stories, there are hundreds who don't care and are willing to take your place and put up with the bs.
