Is block schedules going away?

OPEN DOOR IT? What a joke. What good does it do to OPEN DOOR an issue? Nothing that is what. We had two associates open door people ...they bypassed mgt. and went straight to home office. Nothing happened, Nothing. Oh they turned it over to our worthless manger and he sat on it.
If the schedule has already been posted the manager should be getting with the associate and asking them if they can change their schedule. They should not just change it without informing or asking the associate, open door it.
the "pets" of the mangers can work whatever they want. Pathetic.
I would love to know the answer to this myself. I’m on block and this was my weekend off and last Sat my GM decided due to business needs she was gonna add me on for Sat & Sun after I’ve already set plans, etc. can she do this?? Change my schedule 1 week prior? I only get 1 weekend a month so I was bummed that it was taken away.
We signed for it but they give us what they want. I wish corporate would keep with this. I know we are going through a pandemic but I hate it when I make plans and they get ruined because my schedule changes.
Unfortunately it really doesn’t matter because manager’s are scheduling tons of associates over their availability week after week. Yellow flags in scheduler indicating that the associates are scheduled over their availability. Some associates may be okay with that, others are not.
Not happening we all signed our availability form so we are working what we signed
If you are in with the cool club you basically can do what you want, different rules for different associates, what one can do, another can't. Come in late? No problem, you will still have a job. Choose your own hours? No biggie, someone else will clean your sh– up.
It doesn’t matter if goes away or not, In my club there is a few of the managers favorite associates they get there whenever they want!!
It might as well go away. People at my Club seem to make their own hours so it doesnt seem to matter if it exists.
