We are being "offered" opportunities for positions that are 2-3 pay bands lower than what we were let go from by senior leaders. Of course they cannot force us into these positions since they are well below the 10% lower pay threshold but they are now exploiting desperate, upset, and scared laid off workers to take lesser level jobs at lower pay instead of severance. This folks is Transformative Growth in action.

@6kms+16D259rJ .... there are stipulations to the severance. In the past you would have to re-pay if you came back to the company in another position within a certain amount of time.
I wish people would refer to what are of the company they are in on these posts. It's different throughout
They tell you of new jobs but they are in Timbuktu and are clerical. Just trying to dump the seasoned people. Funny no one making the decisions are going anywhere.
Take the severance and look for a new job at another company.
Welcome to Allsnake where you’re in good hands
So you were given your 60 day notice, then they came to you after and offered a job in a lower pay band? Did they say your salary would be less? (Pay bands overlap). Just trying to clarify as this may end up happening to more of us
Don’t be bullied. Just say no. Do what is best for you and your loved ones.
I was just about to post about this myself. And they are jobs that are not even posted. Their new tactic. SMH.
