Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

No comment on ATSV town hall huh?

Ii appears many of you don't work for ATSV, which explains the totally lopsided view/opinions

Read about the Marwari community in India (disclaimer- have friends, they are all good people). Some of their traits are that they are entrepreneurs and born businessmen. They are very good at this but also consider Money is honey and are quintessential savers. No doubt is very opportunistic about saving money by outsourcing. Even Northern Ireland is expensive, so ASPL it is. Even in ASPL, Bangalore is super expensive so now it is Pune.

If Suren had his way ATSV would all be in ASPL. He also still thinks that working on site is more productive than at home. For a tech guy, he really is a luddite.

It’s a tactic to get people to quit so they don’t have to pay severance or unemployment. Like we don’t know that.... puleeze!
It’s also pretty twisted- I think most senior leaders up the chain are getting their rocks off on this little passive aggressive move, and I’m pretty sure they are enjoying this site more than any of us can imagine. Don’t feed the trolls, if you can avoid it.

I was embarrassed for y'all. Knowing my spot is in the assessment sh_t show and to hear that unfeeling river-bather just demean his entire operation.

Suren said they want to make final decisions on who would be impacted by end of September, yet next week is September and they haven't even started assessments yet?!

We were told our little area within ATSV would not be impacted...this year. Would not surprise me in the least if they did a 180 because as you say targets were not met. A cynic might also believe they did a head fake to try to shake loose some more voluntary departures, but they wouldn't be that shady, would they?

Well they were not being transparent when they said the delay in assessments was that they were looking into the impact on Allstate. Just a bunch of bull, they were really looking to see how many more employees they could impact. Likely the individual IT divisions did not meet their targets and they wanted them to cut more.

I thought Suren was compassionate and caring. He wasn't reading a script.... honest dialog on a tough subject. As opposed to the town hall on Wednesday.

Most posters here seem to be from Claims. As someone who used to work in Claims, claims folks sometimes forget there is more to Allstate than just claims
