Heard geo cuts might be delayed after the fall recruiting visit to NAU. Must assess talent in that pool to decide how many current geos from SPFD and SubTech should be cut.

Anyone that went through the reorg a year ago went in fearing the same things as this go around. Now ask yourself, did things improve from a year ago? There was some fat that needed to be trimmed in the first lay-off, but has anything really improved? Most likely your doing more work for less pay now with the reduction in benefits. A good portion of individuals had to take a step back in their career to fill gaps with no progression sight. If your doing a dead end job for your family, no one is going to argue that. If your doing a dead end job because your scared of being uncomfortable, sit down and actually review your finances. It may not be as bad as you think. If your young enough, you still have plenty of time to make a career at a company that is both more stable and offers similar benefits at this point. The majority of PXD employees are incredibly smart and have a ton of opportunity ahead of them if they are willing to trust in themselves. The only thing you cannot get back at this point is time. You can always recoup money. Chin up all.

Why hasn’t pioneer said anything about 401k match and bonuses? The same reason they haven’t said how deep are the cuts. Because we will not like the answer.

Can anyone help explain to me why PXD chooses to initiate a new variable dividend, and hasn't said a single word about returning bonuses and 401k matches? Is PXD looking for investors? I was under the impression PXD was not planning to do any major A&D any time soon.

What does PNR have to offer right now? 401k 2 for 1 match gone! No bonus but they are paying people 1.5 years with health insurance payments. It doesn’t make sense! Sure I will take the money but man if I stay I get 2x the work from the lay-off last year. What do I get for staying loyal?

Sounds to me like the Midland folks are unhappy.

Repurposed managers lol! The place has over paid with lack of real experience for years! People got jobs they had no business doing! Shifting do nothings is a PNR staple! The WFH elevated the lack of real work done! Many people used traveling back and forth to Midland as a way to accumulate frequent flyer miles and hotel points! They wasted time on the dime of the company. Travel time wasted time!

The last "reorg" was b.s. In my world, I had a Senior Accounting Supervisor get "moved" to my level only in name, an individual contributor; she still made the same salary and contributed nothing. She was friends with the accounting VP and Director in the chain of command, that's the only reason why I can think she was kept.

I was surprised I was kept in after the first reorg; I was too performer somehow even though I was always questioning superiors with valid concerns. Ever since T.P. retired MCO in general, not just accounting, has been without proper leadership. How the mighty have fallen.

Especially when between last year and repurposed managers/supervisors from this year know so much about what everyone in their departments make! No great secret, but I'd prefer NOT to have anyone other than my ACTUAL supervisor know what I earn. And ill just tell you there is no code of silence for former supervisors.

Post reorg will be circus. Repurpose managers? To what? individual contributors? I cannot wait to see the dynamic between repurposed managers and their divorced direct reports. Especially when those direct reports as individual contributors are far more talented than the repurposed managers.

I agree. Please tell me how you "repurpose" a manager while "flattening the curve"
