Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

DOI

At what point does the DOI say enough is enough? We have cheapened the claim inspection process to a point that having an adjuster license is pointless. Having contractors perform home inspections? Customers are SO frustrated. How do you answer a customer that asks why their contractor is doing the job of an adjuster and who is paying for their time? Seems like a fair question!

DOIs rarely change processes. Class actions do.

Allstate (and other insurance companies) are trying to get rid of adjusters. I’m in auto and so many shops that are direct repair for other companies tell me they basically write all the cars, do total losses, even if the owner has no plans to repair at their shop. Allstate is signing up probably hundred of new DRP shops and will demand the same of them. It’s basically use DRP or get a $400 est from someone in India, then deal with endless supplements/delays/cut rental/non-agreed prices. I would imagine in property it’s the same, customer service is a thing of the past, now it’s all about $$$
