Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Cote's book "Winning Now, Winning Later".

Just finished reading it. He is very clear that he expects any work to be performed at the lowest cost location.

Why does COTE matter anymore. His 15 minutes of fame are over. Kinda like when Jack Welsh was writing books on how things should be done. You can see how well that served GE!!

Wow what a genius. So let me get this straight, Dave. I want to pay as little as I can for the labor and materials and then sell it for as much as I can? Wow!! Such insight! Such ingenuity! Also, I heard this same strategy on my first day of college for my business degree!

Glad you're gone! loser.

Business has always pursued lowest cost location:

  • Industrial Rust Belt to Southeast US: Escape the Unions
  • Germany, France, UK EU to Eastern Europe
  • SE US to Mexico
  • EU, Japan, and US to China

*** Focus on FX Accounting: Currencies US dollar, Euros, Yen, Yuan, other smaller market currencies

  • China to Vietnam
  • Cote and DA Legacy —

HON = Flat Growth
Global GDP Increases while HON share decreases
HON acquires growing companies
HON blows up and breaks growing companies
HON "spins it" buys back stock
HON Positions "head winds"
HON RIFs July and November books restructures
HON News Release "Quantum Computing" or ......"As a Service" model
Increase Executive Compensation to keep a steady had at the helm to navigate the head winds
Contribute HIPAC funds to maintain the status quo

HON = Flat no growth legacy: YOU CAN BET ON THAT and TAKE IT TO THE BANK
Step and Repeat 2020 to 2030 decade!!!

I wouldn't waste a penny on buying his book. Figured out after the 2008 crash that the stock price was still in the toilet and went full throttle to wreck the company. Left it in the hands of a more aggressive wrecker.

Cote bailed when he had plundered enough shareholder equity that the well ran dry. Then he wrote a book on how to do it. This is how to destroy a free market economy, one corporation at a time. One thing Cote will learn: all that money will never buy back your soul. Just ask Jack Welch.

It's just another old ex-CEO trying to stay relevant. Yawn.

Yeah, and his book on Amazon last week was down to 3.99 for digital version. (One day sale) Still overpriced. 4 star reviews from bootlickers.

Remainder bins are filled with the garbage written by the hucksters and gurus of yesteryear who destroyed long-standing institutions and the livelihoods of millions of Americans.

Jack Welch also wrote a book about how he setup GE for long term success. How did that turn out?

Dave is getting older and bored, so have a ghost writer do a book for you

I hope he lives long enough to see he was partly right, for short term gains, but totally wrong for long term growth

He won the stock market game. Unfortunately the stock market is the worst part of capitalism. If Honeywell was privately owned, the owner would not have done most of what he did. And owners want to pass the business to children and grandchildren.... Dave just wanted his quarterly and long term bonuses to out shine GE who shunned him

I had a hard time appreciating Cote until DA took over and then realized; oh, why of course it can get much worse.

I will not be pumping up his numbers by buying or reading his book. We are surrounded by enough lies, half-truths, spins, and revisionist history as it is. Not about to pay for more.

Did you leave a book review? Did you drop a not to Fox News to see if they will trash his book? What about campaigning for the rights of Bangalore workers with advertisements showing exactly how they are the slaves of our generation. All it would take is one tech company to move to Bangalore and pay living wages to start the snowball.

Anyone who advocates that all jobs be located in the regions with lowest wages is advocating for the destruction of America. They are traitors.
