We have 2 am and 3 pm well I have no clue what pm does. They might run staging sometimes. They zone all night no help to the backroom. Our am shift does everything. Claims , vendors, daily appointments , produce/meat,freezer/cooler loads, FedEx/ups, all old clerk responsibilities and run staging if its not at night.

I have been in receiving for the past 20 years. Just can’t do enough to make management happy. Even got written up for not getting our claims numbers down. We start our day with trucks and vendors waiting to be received and a full dock to run. Most days there are 2 of us, some days 3. We are expected to unload, cut wrap, make cim labels for all pallets, bin or stock if out, until we open. Then we still have trucks scheduled every h our with all the other unscheduled Stuff that comes. And member’s picking up door 7 orders, which we now have to scan out. Plus we are responsible for restacking bad pallets and separating consolidated. Then after we order supplies and put in repairs through service channel. Make sure all the trash is scanned and thrown and clean off the forklifts and sanitize them. Then it’s lunch, no time for those 15 minute breaks! Okay, now it’s 12:30 and no overtime. So when am I supposed to work on claims?

We don't even have a backroom associate during the evening at our club. Both our merch leads work double shifts everyday to drop the floor, do the trucks, and clear the dock. Our 3 dayshift backroom associates do both receiving and claims.

Our evening is "too busy" to learn claims :/
There is only one person in my club doing claims and she is also responsible for all of the old receiving clerk duties as well as helping on the dock.
Better hope she doesn't get covid.

Our second shift doesn’t do claims... they barely do DC’s... we keep getting the excuse they are short handed on that shift . We have 2 new leads on that shift and a new merch manager who has never worked for Sam’s until about 3 months ago and she has no clue what is going on. We come in at 4 to such a mess every day . Claims is a disaster cause we don’t have time to do it since we have to empty the dock every morning and 1/2 of our lifts are broken down all the time . I have worked there for 7 years and I’m ready to walk . Our GM is a joke as is our market manager ! Sam’s club itself is a big joke of this is how they expect us to keep going ... I wish 3rd shift was back and that claims still had a claims clerk .. can’t do both claims and receiving

You are not alone. Our PM doesn’t do claims at all also.

To the person for needed to be green for inventory health: it’s possible the club I work at there’s only 2 of us too and we are green. Print out the RTV report and give it to the merch TL. It’s the merchandisers responsibility to bring the items to claims. Work on jewelry returns right away. Give the liquidation report to merch TLs also. That is also the merchs responsibility. Start keying out all the onesies and twosies on those reports.

There are only two day time backroom associates who work in claims in our club. That's two in the entire club. They want us green on inventory health with only two people doing all the work. It's a joke.
