big mistake by keeping the T shares fund all these years, listening and drinking the kool aid .... fortunately, i got rid of all of them just before the pandemic and was able to see it appreciate waaaaay faster than it was previously.
Lesson learned.... do not keep anything in T, sale it as soon as the balance meets the minimum.

My 401K here at T is k–ling it, thanks very much...lots of good choices in there. No need to keep any $$ tied up with T.

A couple posts here the last few days seems to suggest being a T shareholder is somehow mandatory.

It's not; educate yourself.

Can a cable company like Comcast or Charter buy AT&T? Now clearly AT&T is a Titan of business world. But it is a wounded Titan. Reports indicate it wants to sell DirecTV becuase of debt.

Can Comcast buy AT&T, then sell off everything but wireless to make regulatory folks agree to the purchase? Would the sale of assets like DirectTV, AT&T Mexico and Time Warner, bring enough change back so that Comcast or Charter can make the purchase and pay off the remaining debt?

Who in their right mind would have their 401k all in company stock?

Charter is the #2 Broadband provider! they launched their 1Gbps service over their legacy HFC (not FTTH) two years ago and just launched 2.5Gbps service, again over legacy HFC networks this year. They are planning to get to into the mobility business through CBRS. The company is led by a competent management team.
Randall and Stankey are clueless fools who destroyed AT&T - paying almost $70B for a losing DTV business and now can't find a buyer for even $20B - Shame on these arrogant losers.

Charter is actually ran with people that have intelligence. AT&T can't say the same.

True enough, Ratty's only skill was filling his pockets. He is in competition for the worse CEO of the 21 century with Jeff Immelt.

Unfortunate for the stupid shareholders, even during the biggest bull market in 60 years, Ratty could not move the stock. Without the biggest bull market, T would be off a lot more that the negative 14% over the last year.

Ratty needs to go!
Stinky needs to go!
The Board of Mis-Directors needs to go!
Zucher needs to go!

Otherwise, the stock is headed down the flusher, just like Jeff Immelt did ti GE. GE went from 60 to 6. Is Ratty's strategy going to drive T from 40 to 4?
