Because Singapore cant take care of themselves and you're working for an American company.
Global downstream marketing has been carried by AP for years in both fuels and lubes. We have been subsidizing their high pensions and salaries and when those overheads and allocations get too high, global managers blame us and subsequently refuse to invest in the region.
