I applied at one of the competitors and got the job right away. Also the pay is better than at Allstate.

I'm not waiting around. Heading to the company that AS strives to be like....which will never happen. Dont give your 2 weeks though. They will tell you bye-bye right after you tell them you're leaving.

If you are in HR and looking for a job you should look at doing a career change, I know a few recruiters in large companies we were comparing notes, The number of applicants before COVID-19 for an HR requisition was around 10-30 depending on the role, recently the numbers of have been 100-200 applicants for each requisition.

I’m in HR and I’m struggling. I’ve been applying for 2 months now; only getting calls and sometimes interviews but no offers. Depressing, huh?

My spouse works in Tech, got laid off a month ago. Lots of recruiters call and talk saying they have jobs and will get an interview, Then it goes nowhere - just excuses - hiring manager is on vacation, budget approval etc. Many companies have positions open but hesitant to fill them. So everyone is having a hard time.

Claims employee here..the competitors in my mid-size market that are actually hiring? It’s similar - they want computer programmers, data scientists, field property and/or CAT adjusters. Some want industrial engineering.
Outside the industry? No bites, private or public sector for legal/administrative or finance sectors.
