Hi @hyz that was my post, and I was as shocked as you were that it had been removed. Moreover, I got temporarily booted from this site. I can't imagine what was considered so incendiary or lascivious about that post – except perhaps that it included the phrase (intentionally misspelling here) "Dreenkeen Game". Ridiculous, considering some of the other posts which have not been removed. (not suggesting that these others SHOULD HAVE, just that mine was certainly no worse)

I don't work for Nike but I do like their products. And.... If I did and I would feel about the company the way is described here, I would quit. I'm in charge of my own destiny and hence I prefer to be self employed. You've got a choice people!

Such a painful meeting. Agree, it's all PR messaging. If you are worried, get your resume together and protect yourself.

Anyone else find it strange the post from earlier in the AM about phrases and buzz words during the meeting evaporated? Not sure if the person who posted it had it deleted, or if Nike had it taken down? Anyone know?

That was a sales marketing call. Too bad the info jarvis shared went right over our heads bc we are all so frustrated. One dimwit talked about product launches, the other dimwit the drake video. Y’all best be getting that resume together and interviewing!

This was by far the worst executed meeting I have ever attended. JD was all smiles and happy (bc his bank account is fat AF) while the rest of us are sitting here waiting for some poignant remark that never showed up. The audacity JD showed today was a blatant disregard to all employees busting their A**** day in and day out.

Then there was the rest of the panel of C-levels that were bored out of their skulls (thank god I couldn’t be seen on the screen bc I grabbed a beer hoping that would make the call a little less nauseating - FWIW it didn’t help - zoom all hands was still painful, pitiful and lacked compassion and empathy).

At this junction I’m not sure why I’m surprised that it was so pathetic. I guess I just hold out hope we will stop getting yanked around like a fing yo-yo.

As far as talking to my VP about my feelings and concerns - that was another load of BS where I may have thrown up a bit in my mouth.

Rant over. Peace out!

Hey JD, Nike leadership. We’re stressed, frustrated and scared. Thats what should have been addressed at today’s meeting.

I know there are reasons for Extending this agonizing waiting period past the previously mentioned timeline but it really makes it harder on us. I love this company and brand and hope to still be here after this reorg, but what’s happening right now is painful, scary, and traumatizing.

We need less patronizing, feel-good platitudes and rah rah right now because many of us don’t feel very good. What we need is more empathy and compassion.

Here's my thoughts from today's all-employee meeting: why don't you miss me with this bullsh**?

We're supposed to demonstrate commitment, resilience and team work? We're a team, we're family, we're community? Are you flipping serious? Even the panelists looked bored out of their minds and were texting about the game while JD was talking, the guys stretching, yawning and scratching themselves. And do not take JD's advice about reaching out to your VP and HR if you have a problem. Uhm, no. Here's how that would work.

Ashley to VP: I have a problem
VP to HR: Ashley IS a problem
HR to Ashley: Buh-bye Ashley

Problem solved. They don't care about you. They only want the work done, and NOW. They don't care that employees are scared and stressed for months, waiting for the ax to fall during a global pandemic and record unemployment. Execs take their fat bonuses and go on vacation in August while we are waiting waiting waiting to find out if the bottom will fall out from under our lives.

It's infuriating. So... go team or whatever.

It is a like a mentally abusive relationship - you know the right thing to do is get out but you stick around thinking it will get better then you get pushed out! OMG! just get it done - one way or another - and let us move on. FFS!

VPs are supposedly doing the work now... although we all know how they disappear at this time of the year.

It was said next round of layoffs likely in October, then beyond...

JD also commented something to the tune of: For most people there will be no change, for some they will have an updated role, and for some, their role will be eliminated.

It was clear in the call - the most passionate topic discussed was the recording of the Drake music video on campus. Great.
