Anyone in R3 received any feedback or communication such as consideration for other jobs, selection confirmation, etc?

Received a call and email with the offer. Safe for probably another year or so depending on how the market goes.
Received call. Was told thank you for applying. Very competitive round. Will have opportunity to apply in R4.
Ridiculous! Just found out one of the guys received the phone call that he is safe! He is one of those that constantly called and asked to be given a summary of standards, regulations or industry best practice so that he can talk it out loud in a meeting to show that he knows something! It is a shame to Chevron that this kind of people are who they want to keep. Get real, folks! It is all about what you can portray but not what you know!!! Dont bother with your education and experience, just go to an acting school! Total BS!!
In this case "no news is bad news", oh wait it might be good news...
THE ECONOMY IS SO BAD...
How bad is it you ask?
So bad,
THAT....
Exxon-Mobil laid off 25 Congressmen.
A husband and wife are discussing how to . . .
stretch their money while the wife , who was recently laid off from Chevron, looks for new work.
"You know, hunk , if you learned how to cook, we could fire the cook " the wife says to the husband .
The husband retorts, "You know, honey, if you learned take care of me good , we could fire the au pair."
I found out last week as I posted earlier, and am good. Enjoy your Labor day and good luck to all! Please try to refrain from writing a book, biography, or holier than thou virtue signaling as some folks on here do. This isn't the first layoff, won't be the last and is nothing unique to Chevron. Welcome to the real world boys & girls!
Enjoy your Labor day and good luck to all!
So when do notifications go out? Tuesday or Wednesday? I have heard different things.
One way or another, you’ll know Labor Day week.
I heard nothing yet but remain unworried. I am not on best buddy status with my representative but make solid contributions to the bottom line.
Verbal. Informally.
And how (email, phone call, MS teams call, etc)?
For those were notified about R3 result, by whom?
I was told today I will stay in my position (wipe the sweat off my forehead)
Good luck everyone...
It is a sad commentary how anxious we all become each time Chevon has an event like this. For those who “make it through” this round, they only have about 6 months to relax until the next big event is announced. The only ones who benefit from these events are the senior leaders and the people on the teams who lead them so that they can make names for themselves and get their next big promotion.
My advice is stop worrying so much and live your lives instead of living life from event to event, PDC to PDC and so forth. At the end of our lives, will we really want to look back and think about how we wasted months and years for outcomes that we all know are subjective and have nothing to do with our character and competence?
I am in scope myself and also have anxiety about it, so what I am saying here is easier said than done. My point is that it is so absurd how Chevon thinks these ROMs are a good idea when the emotional affects cause long-term mental and physical strain on its employees. Why can’t they just let people go if they no longer need the position and stop doing the whole stupid musical chairs dance? The whole thing is made worse by the fact that most of the jobs are already filled by favoritism and nepotism-fueled decisions before the event even begins.
I’ve been “unofficially” informed that I will keep my current position, but final confirmation / official notification will be next week.
I know several others who were unofficially told of their status (all were keeping their current position or will receive a position in the new org chart, official notice next week). I don’t know of anyone who has been given a heads up that they are left standing. Perhaps selection teams are working on redeployment options before leaving someone standing.
Anyone know how we will learn our selection results: An email, phone call, office visit? From HR, selection representative, current direct report, or ?
Yeah, right @1tdr. Not so bad, unless you end up being one of the last two. Lol.
You poor silly Chevroids. So sad.
@1faw is full of s**t. No communications this week.
There will be no notification/ communication this week unless they find you another position that you have not applied for [ which is highly unlikely for most people]. Just relax and enjoy the long holiday, HR has to review and make the final call so most likely you will hear the outcome on Wednesday or Thursday next week.
Take it easy guys, 7 out of 10 will have a job, of the other 3, 1 is taking EOI, so not too bad.
Yes, if you didn’t hear today or tomorrow expect a phone call from HR Monday with further instructions.
Those selected will have good news before the holiday weekend. The losers will know Tuesday so they can keep worrying over the long weekend.
My buddy told me that I've got what I wanted.
I heard. Not going up and down the halls shouting about it, but I got my news, all that I need to know.
Was told that selections would this week and formal job offers next week. Have been advised to be available this week to discuss any write-in opportunities.
Not in R3 but I know a few that are and they said they haven’t heard a thing, and that they were told not to expect calls until next week.
Have not had any feedback so far.
