I have read so many posts on here about “My DM told me this or they told me that...” lol 😂 If you honestly believe anything that these corporate puppets are telling you then you are dumber than they are. Your DM doesn’t care about you, your teammates, or the customers...only themselves. Just think about all of the CRAZY expectations that your DM puts on you, doing 5+ orders each day, writing multiple orders while the so called “Merchandising Team” barely fills or straightens anything and leaves practically all of the order waiting for you to do, trying to hit a monthly number that continues to get higher and higher regardless of slacks in demand, and also having you work for most of the pandemic without PPE up until around a month and a half ago. For the people that say the stores can’t handle the SKUs or they can’t handle our “extensive” volume...what about Nestle, Keebler, Hostess, and ALL of the other businesses that have decided to move away from DSD. DSD only works in a perfect world scenario, and Mondelēz is NOT perfect. Think of all of the money Mondelēz will save when they don’t have you, an RMS, Vacation Reps, SAs, and Merchandisers. They more than likely wouldn’t even need SKIP either...only one person in a region made up of multiple territories just to make sure all of those delightful Mondelēz PDQs get to those stores. Remember EASY SHIFT...taking pictures and answering all of those task questions...do you think that’s just for fun or for you to let your DM about all of those Incremental Displays you have in each store. Lol It’s so whenever they flip the switch and they don’t need you anymore they already have data collected on a store by store basis showing what moves and what doesn’t. Where brand placement works best and what they can start rolling out and preparing for different regions. You know, we could talk all day about how this company is literally shafting its workers into oblivion, but there will still be those few people that cry like little babies that they don’t want anything to happen to their precious job. They have only known one thing and that is being this company’s glorified cracker stacker. It’s a shame really because they honestly think that by them waiting until the end that this company is going to reward them or give them some type of buyout package. This company doesn’t reward good people only the bad and their country club friends.

If you've been around Mondelez a while, you would know NOT to trust your DM! They are simply following a script, as is the RDR. When the announcement is made, it will a simple out, "we were committed,but retailers were not". Unless you think retailers are spending millions on building new DC's and eliminating costs to compete, only to throw money at an outdated and very expensive supply chain model. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the end of DSD is coming. Enjoy your car. but have a good backup plan for some new wheels, that Malibu is leased and can turned back in or given to another employee.
If the dates people are throwing out are giving you false job security, ignore them, but not the fact that DSD in the US is ending.......open your eyes and look around! Hard to miss!

the post about reps gathering data on stores is the beginning of the ed. nestle started that bs about 6 months before they gatherd us all into an airprt and pulled the plug. and let me guess if u miss data or cant get to a stor thatsall u hear about from your dm cause its so important. they need the data to track how much the splinter stores chains comply and that determines how much money the chains will receive for mondelez to go warehouse. it also helps with the accuracy of stocking a warehouse such as spartan, kroger , or super valu. sounds like you all are following nestle footprint to the tee.

Those days are over.....unless you work under GS desk, expect to throw a lot of product. Sales reps are glorified merchandisers, and there isn't anything glorious about it! just about one of the worst organizations to work for....
Not that I disagree, but I like writing 5-6 orders a day. The problem is when they give you that, plus multiple services PLUS a delivery or two. Then it's too much.
The most fun I had in this job was when my former FT merchandiser was out for about 10 months. During that time I did practically no deliveries, just order writes and services. I had time to speak with my stores, meet needs and issues, and sell in a ton. It's no wonder my numbers during that time were through the roof.

I’ve been seeing the same c-ap on here for years, they stopped easy shift cause of lack product, everybody is low. Coke can’t get skus, Pepsi can’t get skus, no one can cause of covid. That’s why easy shift will resume in January. Stop speeding fake news. Fake news needs to stop!
