Vpn is irrelevant with cloud. But why Palo Alto networks doing so well?
Palo has a very nice cloud FW play. It works well for AWS VPC. Cisco's cloud plays are clunky and stupid.
Why would anyone need remote access vpn in today’s day and age??
are the sourcefire hacks still around? i left cisco shortly after purchase
with everything in cloud why would anyone need a firewall? aws and azure have identical functionality to this. i can still see a remote access. Vpn use case but not a firewall
firewall is trash that only has survived because they added remote access vpn to it

2/3rds of “firewall” sales are actually REMOTE ACCESS sales. The actual packet firewall has been irrelevant for years. Linux OS has a better packet firewall and https pretty much made app layer fw irrelevant. snort ? please
The frightening concern for GSSO is that 65% of its sales comprise of firewalls. Edge computing and cloud based security will rapidly tank that business. Cisco is truly a sinking ship.

windows 10 pro has built in firewall and antivirus checker. cisco is only needed for vpn access over internet.
