Got booted out under the guise of performance, found a nice new job, great friendly people, informal environment. My chest feels lighter, stomach feels better, I do not have to talk to managers, SLSs, brown-nosers and permanently brain damaged people in ExxonMobil anymore. I don' t need any Nexium, don't need any Viagra! I am so happy I can't stop crying!!! I am sorry for those who were not forced into PIP/NSI, sorry folks, you have my sympathy and condolences! Had I not been booted out I would be still working there, getting regular stomach upsets and fearing what's going to happen next and praying to God to give me some help in how to become a brown-noser and politically correct player - I was not born with these wonderful talents so important for ExxonMobil, prereq for success and promotions.

You are both right. One person's truth-telling is another person's negativity, and one person's congenial agreement is another person's brownnosing. What we seem to be seeing is that the pleasant, positive Polyannas are safe, the Jeremiahs are not. The question is, what kind of people does the company need to get it out of the ditch it threw itself in. Thoughts?

No. NSI are let go because they have c-appy personality, hard to work with, bring little value, and push Negativity into the workspace.
The vast majority of the company does not brown nose. These statements are just a way for those let go to feel like it wasn't them.. News flash.. It was!

All you NSI people that believe the success to the company are brownnosing and being PC are missing the point in why YOU were let go.
For 10% NSI, that would mean they thought 9 people were more superior than you.
