Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Xerox team availability

On the daily check in for covid-19, has anyone said they don’t meet the entry requirements? Such as you have had a cough, sore throat or loss of taste or smell? Just curious as to what happened after

This seems to vary depending on who your manager is.

My manager has been pretty supportive and careful about covid exposures. However, I get the feeling that he is shielding us from pressure to put on a good show, keep our heads down, and keep working.

I am nervous about what will happen if he walks, or if he is put in a position where he can't shield us.

I believe it’s much more lenient if you are not in office.

I know of folks who did not report their valid status before going in and once they badged in, they got a call from security as a check in. They just had to clear it up so no issue - but they’re definitely watching if you don’t testify to be valid to enter and then enter a facility.

I don't think we were ever told what that app was, or that we were to use it. Just kept getting emails about it not being up to date, and please update it. Then, weeks later, a passing comment from our prez made mention of it, but not what it was, or how we were supposed to use it. No one cares, I guess.

I have, but only after notifying my manager about someone in my household with a symptom.

If you poke around the sharepoint site where all the Covid-19 documents are, you can find materials created for the managers about how the software is used, and I believe it does notify them about any particular person's status.

Those of you with concerns should reach out to corporate.security@xerox.com and let them know how your managers are acting. You can demand better. You might not get it, but it's worth losing that battle if it means you tried.

We've had several techs stay home for 2 weeks after someone tested positive in their household.

I got a call from manager who essentially said to keep the information quiet, get a test, and keep working.
