I have to admit I worked for Ford, and in general I was compensated, and treated well. When I was on boarded I had the pleasure of hearing Allan Mulaly, and Joe Henricks speak. I was very impressed and confident that I would be working for a great Company. I am no longer with Ford, I retired/left on my own. The current leaders don’t give me the same warm and cozy feeling. Hold onto your butts people. As for William Ford, and family...... please get a real Engineer car guy leader and let him do what it takes and For will be great again. Common sense and experience goes a long way baby!!!
@rdv that might be because GM has Mary Barra, who speaks of her accomplishments when they are done, and we have Bill-Jim-Jim, who tell the world what they are going to do sometime in the future, then never seem to finish anything important (over three years now SRD....only accomplishment: losing billions of dollars. Forget 2018, forget 2019, forget 2020, and probably 2021, too.
So, while Ford employees are checking email for their departure notices, over at GM they are signing multi-billion dollar deals to solidify their place in the EV / alternative fuel markets, after having done things like spin off Lyft. Ford has a group that focuses on new businesses like that, but they've brought us Chariot and GoRide. Oh, right, those businesses have already been closed down. What has Ford's acquisition team done for us lately????? Get busy bringing value to the bottom line, or get laid off!!!
