Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Good news - there are many jobs outside ExxonMobil, leave the sewer behind

Good and real news - there are several jobs out there - process, operations, process control, projects. Pensacola needs a paper plant process control manager. Clearlake area needs process and project engineers at a Japanese owned polymer plant. I could go on. I filled resumes on all online sites - career builder, monster, indeed, and some others - I forgot their exact names and I had actually multiple job offers in just 2 weeks. Make sure your resume is modern, concise, 2 or 2 pages, and send to all job search sites. Apply direct to company websites. Only poorly run archaic oil companies like Big Oil like ExxonMobil, Chevron etc with incompetent id–ts like Rex T and Darren W caused the oil jobs to be jeopardized. But paper plants, electric power plants, specialty chemicals and a lot of other manufacturing are busy and need people. Post to all websites and direct to companies and then remember - like a hockey game - you can get a goal any minute, anytime. Put your resumes everywhere and it will happen. This is what I did and found a dream job in a short time after leaving ExxonMobil. Stay positive and you will be rewarded. I cannot tell you how happy I feel I do not have to show my badge at the security gate and constantly hear crazy deranged managers constantly reminding about corporate AmEx and how someone got axed for accidentally using the AmEx card and similar BS about crazy levels of morbidly insane safety talks and safety meetings to the point you could actually have an unsafe situation because of excessive worry that someone is watching you all the time. Houston had more traffic accidents due to red light cameras and I felt stressed in ExxonMobil and felt more vulnerable to safety incidents. The world is big and bright, leave the ExxonMobil sewer behind.

Congratulations!! And thank you for your post. The Amex comment is spot on - no other company I have worked at is so obsessed with people stealing through their company cards and other similar examples, and lacks trust and empowerment in their employees so much. Your post brought me a smile ... actually an lol 😆. There are brighter days ahead for so many of us.
