Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What if??

You accepted CEP then declined 7 days after Oct 5 do you avoid the LR?
The LR notices go out Oct 8 so you would not get that notice as Cisco assumes you tool CEP.
Doing this appears to beat the system.

I thought you had 7 days to revoke your decision after being notified that you were accepted for the CEP plan, not that you could revoke your decision 7 days after your employment ended.

That’s what I remember from Fran’s session.

I thought you had 7 days to revoke your decision after being notified that you were accepted for the CEP plan, not that you could revoke your decision 7 days after your employment ended.

According to the FAQ, if you revoke your CEP offer and are then notified that your role is at risk, then if you accepted the Optional Choice Plan, you would receive the "Enhanced" OCP which was financially equivalent to the CEP. But those not eligible for the CEP would only be eligible for the OCP and if they choose to decline it, then the forced separation package would be less than the OCP which is less than the CEP.

Do you really think that the lawyers who drew up all the paper work for all these packages are stupid enough to miss the loophole of taking an optional package and revoking after the next package is offered? They get paid big $ to come up with a plan that protects Cisco from lawsuits. They wouldn't make such a simple mistake.

it was discussed at here before, you will be either on a PIP (for whatever reason) soon and be cut on 11/xx/2020 as part of next LR.. you never know.. however, your name show up every month with your VP and HR meeting.. the agony of this will really trouble you..
