I was in management for many years and for the one years I answered the surveys honestly reflecting the bad morale that is everywhere in the business and especially our business in the UK. When the results came out they reported that a majority of the respondents were very happy so you get to thinking what’s the point when you know those results are not reflecting the true business and employee viewpoint.

Exit interviews, they were either discouraged by HR or never done when people were leaving so that says a lot for the supposed professionalism of the HR team who are supposed to represent and work for the employees ensuring every process is carried out in accordance with acceptable industry standards, that’s just a joke.

When I was offered a pay off, the HR guy and my manager broke every rule in the HR handbook but by that time I just wanted them payout to allow me to move on.

In summary, the business is truly in denial and something serious has to happen if they are to survive the next few years, with the current LT will not happen.

It's a known fact that most HR (any industry) don't even read the Resume for hiring. They use Machine Learning to filter through or hire the buddies of the hiring bosses. Let alone reading Exit Interviews and Performance Reviews. They don't have time nor do they have any interest. They don't listen to complaints from the employees on their supervisors. HR instantly go defensive, when you do so. You are on your own and at the mercy of your boss.

All they have to do is read the exit interviews from the last 5 years.

Yea definitely do not complain and especially if you are in the Tower. The HR in charge there is a complete nitwit and only cares about his beloved get away lunches with his canuck BFF. That's where he gets to vent about all the millennials he dislikes.

If you complain on that thing, you will be next for a layoff

Why DON'T people fill these out and say how unhappy you are? A lot better than crying here.

Nobody fills these out except management sitting in offices themselves on the back thinking morale is good.

NOV has become most self-centered narcissistic since the downfall in 2014. If you are a honest loyal stake holder who openly voices out the problems in the company and proposes ramifications for betterment of businesses, you would be labelled an anti-loyal like any nationalist treat the minorities.

Every year the Pulse Survey results are more positive and promising of the management. How?
Most of the hardworking bottom of the chain employees were either laid off or had quit.
All they have are managers who rate themselves high.
Most of the leftovers don't care about the survey.
The rare few honest surveys submitted by few leftovers get sidelined in the name of outliers.

Seriously. Those that are unable to attempt to take pride in their work then come to this site and complain are why NOV struggles.
