Wish these numbers were higher and accurate... then maybe some of us could get out from under such terrible managment. To anyone high enough up that gives a d—, ask the employees of managers their thoughts, WITHOUT the immediate manager in the room. Hard to be honest when you know your going to suffer for it. That is why an anonymous board is blowing up, it is the only safe outlet.

Back in the old days Pioneer conducted 360 PMP reviews on the Managers by their employees. The Managers sweat bullets when their time had arrived. But it did tend to weed out the poor managers that lacked technical skills. I was there 20 years and I hated the unchanged annual PMP evaluation, they could be gamed by the "do gooders, A kissers and the kissups." My tact was I was always put myself as performing, and if my boss wanted to elevate it, I would not argue. I had fast trackers in my department and after 20 years I outlasted them all. Your quality of work should speak for you, and not by knelling under your managers desk. Hope in the reorg that Pioneer selects another method to manage people and stop the ranking against one another, this does not encourage fair play and collaboration amongst peers.

Fusion was a disaster, what should we do? Promote whoever was in charge and ensure they are responsible for all capital projects.

How are all you doorknob lickers dumb enough to believe any of this garbage. 15% doesn't average out to 30% or more across the board.

If the MC were aware of how poor the geoscience manager leadership was, they'd remove most of them and avoid making the same mistake of putting them back in as technical folks this time. Survey the folks beneath them on their thoughts and not just the brown noser yes-men and yes-women. You'd be surprised how poorly that side is ran and how unanimous this view is. Lots of room for improvement and lots of upside from removing these toxic people.

You’re right, we should get rid of all managers, directors, VPs and EVPs and have everyone report directly to SS. He would love it! :-p

Probably the logistics of laying off that many people while in quarantine. Paperwork, office clean out, restructuring, etc
